Neil Catlin’s gradual rise to notoriety amongst his industry peers, is testament to his devoted application in the studio, where he has honed his ability to curate a groovy, minimalistic and driving techno sound that’s infused with a subtle darkness, and is assured to make any dance floor swell from front to back.

From Italian techno pioneer ‘Marco Carola’ to Fuse’s ‘Ittesu’ and French duo ‘Medeew & ChicksLuvUs’, these are just a few of an ever-growing collective of music aficionados, who truly understand and appreciate the intricacies and intelligence of his productions.

Neil’s accolades as an all-round accomplished artist don’t just end in the studio. Since his inception as an aspiring DJ on London’s underground party circuit over 7 years ago, Neil has assumed an impressive array of headline acts to which he's supported. Artists such as; Maya Jane Coles, Tim Paris, Christian Burkhardt, Justin Martin, Larse, Gaiser, Andrew Grant, System of Survival, Jozif, Audiojack, East End Dubs, Inxec, Adam Shelton and Umek, to name but a few, have all been billed alongside this candid techno virtuoso.

- Hey Anton, what's up?
Grey, rainy, sunday with family.

- How did you record the podcast/which mood/story behind it?
If you know, we opened RANDOMART STORE in Prague with my wife 2 years ago: Vinyl is my direction in the store and Anna presents clothes which she creates.

So, all tracks on podcast from vinyl records which we have in our stock.

- What's your musical background?
Ohh, lot of music from different age and genre.

- What about your tools of production, analog or digital?
if we talks about djing I'm using vinyl format, but when we concern music production I'm using analog and digital technology.

- How do you come up with such various genres in your releases? How do you choose your artists?
First of all it's kind of magic moment : i listen the sound, first and after  i'm reading the name, but of course i know lot of good artists already and i'm trying to follow them all.

- Who are the DJs or producers that inspire you?
I have few essential standards in various genres, who became classic : Sergei Rachmaninoff, Erik Satie, Brian Eno, Wolfgang Voigt, Mathew Herbert, Mathew Jonson, Cab Drivers, Ricardo Villalobos, Moritz Von Oswald, Jeff Mills...

- Where are you from and where have you lived? How is the scene around your place ?
Originaly i'm from Moscow. How i said before, we opened the RANDOMART STORE in Prague, so i am quiet often in this city. I know very nice local artist and dj's, who try to make musical life more interesting. How told me my friends, long time was a recession in underground scene in Prague , but last year things went smoothly and nightlife bubbled again.

- Any other things cooking you would like to tell us about?
I'm finished my ambient album, also in first part of next year you will see few vinyl Ep's from me and also i'll start write music for russian modern video opera...

- What drives you/is important to you beyond music?
Music, family and friends - this three important thing  for me.
Books, movies and good vine are good also ! 

- Anything else to say to the world?

It's time for our 10th podcast! A small milestone we're celebrating with an outstanding set by @Ghini-B from Nice (FR). Born in the mid-eighties Olivier Palazzoli aka Ghini-B has, like many children of that decade, been seduced by the emergence of boundary-breaking electronic music. He grew up listening to Detroit & Chicago releases and collecting records from various genres consisting of repetitive loops, raunchy voices, spacey synthesizers, delayed guitars, and dry basses. He already shared the line-up with legends like Praslea, Margaret Dygas, Ryan Elliott and Dandy Jack. If he's not spinning you can find him in his studio working on tracks. Besides releasing music on his own SWLTD vinyl only imprint he brought out some digital work as well, on established labels like BLA BLA, Mood24 and Zeitlos. This is the first session of my radio show called Propaganda I do weekly every monday from 18:00 to 19:00 on Ibiza Sonica radio. It is my first season having an opportunity to play music on FM radio of Ibiza. Because I kept the same name as the one of my vinyl only label I decided to play all my favorite released and upcoming tracks of it. Here I present and talking about each track and the story behind. This session was live on 6th of june and it is the part of my history. Propaganda radio show will go now until 26th of september, so more news are coming.. Hope you'll find something interesting in this hour. 

Nastia's Propaganda Radio Show on Ibiza Sonica

Nae:tek is an italian Dj based in London. Nae:tek had his own particular musical identity right from the start. His sets were unusual with the most diverse phenomena, immediately placing him in the underground segment of the scene. He was always looking for alternative musical experiences; this search became a personal necessity which brought him into diverse alternative movements. It eventually led to him and his brother opening the first record store specifically for DJs, which was linked to a music channel. In 1995 the first Match-Music store opened its doors in Salerno, Italy. It created a musical revolution; not only for the city but for Nae:tek as well.

The store gave him access to all the labels throughout the world without any boundaries. For Nae:Tek these were years of great deepening, which gave him a global vision of music and the industry.
DJing in various clubs turned out not to be enough for Nae-tek, his eclectic creative side pushed him towards new horizons! Production.

2001 brought a successful production, 'Underwear', a record featuring both Nae-tago (another Pseudonyms ) and Claudio Coccoluto. Through various compilations; tracks managed to travel all around Europe reaching number 3 in Pete Tong's Radio Show.

At the time being He is mainly focused  on Deep and Dub Techno set.

During this series we have not really focused on Live recordings but when Vincent suggested one we jumped at the opportunity. We are massive fans of Upwellings and are proud to have him aboard + we are also treated to a few unreleased tracks - yess!

This is a well crafted hour of goodness.

Jane Fitz played the 2011 Dorisburg track "Tundra" around the middle of her Sunday night set at the Treehouse. We're mentioning this because "Tundra" does a nice job of illustrating Fitz's sound, a sound that's seen her international bookings grow substantially over the past couple years. The track rolls and bubbles and fizzes, its groove locking you completely to the floor without being flashy about it.
