A Soul Reborn

Unashamed in His Light

In a valley so green, where the rivers did flow, 
There lived a small village, where peace did bestow. 
The winds sang their song, and the meadows did bloom, 
But a prophecy whispered of a coming doom. 

A dragon so fierce, with eyes like the night, 
Was prophesied long, to bring sorrow and fright. 
With wings that could darken the sun in the sky, 
It would come to the village, and many would die. 

But from this quiet land, there arose a young king, 
With the heart of a lion, and the strength of the spring. 
He gathered the villagers, and raised up his sword, 
To face the great beast, and defend their reward. 

Through the smoke and the flame, the battle did rage, 
The king fought with valor, a hero so brave. 
But the dragon’s cruel claws, they struck him down low, 
And the young king fell, in the fire's glow. 

The dragon was slain, with a mighty roar, 
But the king had passed, to the great heaven’s door. 
The village did weep, but they sang his name loud, 
For he gave them their peace, and made them all proud. 

Now, they sing of the battle, and the king’s noble fight, 
Of how he stood strong in the darkest of night. 
His legacy lives in the hearts of them all, 
A hero, forever, who answered the call.
