Why Hello There.....

I’m Lottie, the token chick in our little band. It appears to be my job to introduce your guys to my guys, if you catch my drift.
First, there’s Thomas, I'd say he was the brains behind the band, but that would be flattery! I think this whole thing was his idea, and he organises everything! Anyway, he’s our male vocalist and also plays the bass. He writes nearly, if not all, of our material. He provides the creepiness in our lyrics; some could argue he’s mentally disturbed, we just think it’s awesome! 


Ok, Calum, where do I start? Give him a guitar and he's lost for hours! No surprise he’s the lead guitarist, then. At practise when he’s not playing his guitar he’s... No, I can't remember the last time that happened. He’s a fab guitarist, holds our songs together, and if you catch him on a good day he can solo like the wind.


Next I have to mention Fred because without him practise would not be possible! He’s our drummer and we practise in his shed; a very cosy shed with all of us and our instruments... But I’m not complaining! His hospitality keeps us going, and we can never start anything without good old English cuppa, and don't forget the crumpets! Fred has the most traditional training of the group, but that doesn't stop him going totally manic!


As for myself, I’m the female influence. I sing and play the bass. Me and Thomas share the bassing and singing, depending on the song we're doing or how possessive we become of the microphone! For me thats quite a lot!! I love it!


I’ve just had a flash back and remember the first thing we ever played as a proper band; it was a jam involving Old McDonald Had A Farm! I distinctly remember its awesomeness...
We began covering songs, and in the way of every teen band, our first song was Smells Like Teen Spirit. We moved up in the world from there, trying the likes of Jet, The Strokes, and so forth, when suddenly..!


There was this challenge, see. Thomas wanted a complete CD to mail out, within 5 days. Some very, very frantic days later, and we had produced 6 songs and an intro, and from there we haven't looked back. I suppose we just enjoy being creative and more individual, carving our own way. Now, while still writing songs, we're working on getting cleaner recordings, aiming for a longer CD. But, shh, don't tell anyone I told you!
The nearest you'll be able to describe our sound is... 'Sort of post-punk, when they feel like it.' Perhaps our sound will become more defined with time, and that just means you’re doomed to listen to our stuff forever!
