Alderaan is the pseudonym of Franco De Michele, a music producer and DJ from Buenos Aires, Argentina. In the year 2014, he began his carreer as producer by releasing music in the recognized dutch label Planet Rhythm. This gave him the support of great artists from all over the world, helping him to follow his carreer and releasing music in psysical format this time, in the english label Weekend Circuit. His discography extends to labels such as Mindtrip Music, Warm Up Recordings, Insula Records, Pole Group, among others.  At the end of the year he created Danza Nativa, a label of ambient and techno music, together with two colleagues from Buenos Aires (Forest On Stasys and Kyntral) with a defined sound and oriented towards deep techno

My name is Craft and this week we present Deepbass from Glasgow, Scotland.

He is a techno producer with many releases on international labels in both digital and vinyl formats. He is head of Informa Records and their latest release “Informa Experiments Volume 2” includes great tracks by Giorgio Gigli, Takaaki Itoh, Ben Gibson and Deepbass. He collaborates with top quality artists from around the world and is often on tour in different countries. Check his Gigatools for upcoming shows in Holland, Portugal, Malta and Germany.

DEEPBASS (Informa Records) - UK 

Deepbass was introduced to the scene in 2009 his music is best described as deep, dark, atmospherical techno.

Born in Glasgow, Scotland. His passion for electronic music started from a young age where he would spend his weekends in record stores searching for music, he discovered artists like Speedy J and Jeff Mills who really opened his eyes to the world of techno.

He started producing music in 2008 and from there his sound evolved, always minimalistic, elements of ambient, hypnotic rhythms and deep rolling bassline's.

In 2010 he launched his label Informa Records as a platform to express himself and to explore further into his brand of deep techno.

The label is going strong has now had to opportunity to work with artists such as Modern Heads, Cio D'Or, Mark Broom, Edit Select Echologist, Ness, Hironori Takahashi, nAX_Acid and many more high quality artists.

Deepbass has had a string of releases on some great labels such as Soma Records, Dynamic Reflection, Aconito Records and Planet Rhythm 

He has a number of live shows and Informa showcases under his belt which have taken him to some of the worlds best clubs including Space, Ibiza & Berghain, Berlin.

Since the mid-1990s, Rich Oddie and Christina Sealey have been creating a unique fusion of techno, industrial, and electro-acoustic music. Using modular and analog synthesizers, software, location recordings and feedback circuits, Oddie and Sealey draw upon the darker tendencies of techno, electro, and dub, and combine these elements with the experimental aesthetics of early industrial music. Orphx has gained an international following as one of the pioneering acts within the European "rhythmic noise" scene and has more recently come to the attention of techno fans through their releases and remix work on Sonic Groove and Semantica.

They have performed in numerous countries around the world, appearing at celebrated venues such as Berghain (Berlin), Mutek (Montreal) and Qwartz (Paris), and sharing the stage with artists such as Alva Noto, Byetone, Laurie Anderson, Legowelt, Marcel Dettmann, Monolake, Pan Sonic and many others. Oddie and Sealey have also collaborated on audio / visual projects and exhibitions related to their musical work. Orphx have released nine albums and numerous singles on vinyl, cd and cassette. Their most recent work further develops a dark hybrid of techno, dub and industrial that has been met with critical acclaim from many of techno's leading DJs.

As one of our cherished sources of inspiration over recent years, we have techno platform, Monument to thank for leading us to Paula Koski, one of the project’s aspiring curators with a pretty sublime taste in electronic music, in our humble opinion at least.

Paula’s diverse sound stretches from ambient and experimental through to richly layered, dark, hypnotic, psychedelic techno, stitching together memorable musical stories to tantalise our palate and leave us famished for more!

This summer, Paula was pulled in the direction of a whole host of gigs, both at home in beautiful Berlin, and away, joining the likes of Neel, Rrose, Acronym and Luigi Tozzi to cast her spell on lovers of the deep, rhythmic and inebriating sounds we bow down to.

The unsettling terrain of Evigt Mörker's world can be broken up into a few frenetic parts that give the overall impression of a serene habitat. There's the otherworldly foreground of his techno works that are blissfully psychedelic as well as carefully structured for the most subtly disorientating shifts, and hovering amongst this is his wholesome grasp on the purpose and consequence of melody. Together, this is Evigt Mörker's deadly and addictive mix.

Hailing from Sweden, some initial forays into bands in his youth went hand-in-hand with an early exposure to techno. Yet it was the illegal rave scene in Stockholm that would prove to be most formative. The circuit of DJing and parties soon fed into the need to create a platform from which to work, and so the identity and label Evigt Mörker came into being in 2013. The first three releases cemented Evigt Mörker's ability to rouse melodic dynamics out of an ambient setting. Whether settling and fixating on a rhythmic pattern, or shuffling through different emotions, often these tracks would career into rapturous dancefloor pieces. It didn't take long until the formidable Semantica Records tapped him for a release, which produced the stunning EP, 'Helmet of Bones.' From this point, Evigt Mörker would come under the austere wing of Northern Electronics. Two terse yet incandescent EPs, along with a fourth release on his own label, have charged the air for his debut album, 'Krona'. Appearing on Northern Electronics, a brooding intensity defines the album, as well as a technical dexterity for carving dissonance into lush techno tools.

For those that have witnessed Evigt Mörker live or as DJ, a different side to his recorded output comes into play. Often far more forceful than his releases, there's an energetic and rhythmic power reserved for these moments. It's perhaps this versatility that's kept him in such high demand as a remixer. Taken to the other end of the spectrum, Evigt Mörker's live shows are capable of elegant ambient pieces, if holding a dancefloor down isn't the modus operandi.
