Monstercat Silk Showcase 833 (Cloudcage's 2025 Highlights)

Smoke & Stone is a Southern Metal band based out of Oshawa Ontario. This 5 piece powerhouse is known for their catchy hooks and southern style grooves. With Matt Lambs technical yet bluesy solos, the leads are melodic but have a distinct southern style that fits the atmosphere of the songs. Brendan Kay holds down the rhythm guitars with a thick, tight tone that makes the songs pound through your chest. Tyler Leslie-Smith has a unique drumming style, matching perfectly the classic styling of John Bonham with modern kick patterns that drives the back bone of the band. On bass for the first time in his career, Cody Lafond  takes his technical guitar styling and translates into a freight train of thumping bass licks. Lastly, no stranger to the microphone is Chris Reitsma whose smokey, southern voice fronts the band with the perfect mix of greasy and clean bluesy vocals that brings the power from the front of the stage to the back of the venue. Together they make hard hitting, hooky music that will leave you pounding your fist against the bar, and singing in your head on your way home.
