SMOKE THE SKY - is an energetic mix of southern metal / rock (e.g. Pantera, Down, Corrosion of Conformity) and stoner rock influences (e.g. Kyuss) backed by harmonic vocal melodies like "Alice in Chains". The vision: Groove! 

Founded in 2010 by four long-time musicians from Munich fusioning different musical influences, from heavy rock over blues- and funk rock to thrash metal, into a very distinct sound for the band. A highly collaborative style throughout the whole song-writing process results in this very lucid band sound. The debut album "Leave This World Loud" contains eight intelligently and in a complex manner arranged "Southern Groove Metal" songs that - despite catchy riffs and choruses - may surprise the listener even after repeated listening with previously unrecognised subtleties. 

SMOKE THE SKY released their first album in the winter of 2012 - for the time being without the backing of a label or a distributor. The band used their supporting gigs as well as headline performances in the recent years, to translate its powerful stage presence grow its fan base.
