We are stoked to announce "Rise Above" a brand new worldwide collaboration from Vancouver, Canada, to Lagos, Nigeria, and Amsterdam. This song is about rising above the hate, connecting with, and showing the love.

Our producer S66 is from Amsterdam and started things off with this dope vibe he called "family." Since we all consider ourselves as one big family in our crew; it was the perfect opportunity to connect across the globe through music. The homie I.Z.K. from Vancouver, recorded the first part with Fresh Smoke at Fresh Smoke Music studio then we sent it off to CE Savage & DG Woks in Nigeria. They came through with the ill rhymes and finished off the track. Finally we sent the stems to Deeskee in LA to do the final mix/master. 

Also big thanks to Clever Adam on the amazing cover art.

This track is about the Comox Valley where we all grew up and Emcee Four still lives, Dizzy talks about how we used to all record at Smoky's studio in Cumberland when we first met each other back in 2009.

Another Dream - Thunderfeet (Prod. Lucid Soundz)

This track first began by Tobes and Smoky back in 2017, Quadra Village, Victoria, BC. Then later in 2021, Smoky sent it to Ill Lyrics in Nanaimo. Ill Lyrics liked the vibe so he recorded his verse and Smoky finished the mix at his place in Vancouver. Tobes is the producer behind the dope beat and helped create the energy to make this song happen. Finally we gave the concept to Stormkevin (a talented comic book artist in the Netherlands) who came up with the artwork. Much respect

Smoky Mirror is a conscious hip-hop artist from Denman Island, located off the west coast of BC. His name is an analogy for life; the human mind is like a smoke screen that covers the true reflection of our inner spirit. Growing up surrounded by nature and a small community of supportive people heavily influenced his musical style and creative outlook. 

He has been organizing and performing at various events and concerts for the past seven years. In 2009, he co-founded a successful hip-hop movement in the Comox Valley called Ancient Principals. This hip-hop crew put together hype new shows every month for close to two years. Later on, he launched his first big release called, Everythings a Soundwave. Throughout his musical journey, Smoky has shared the stage with hip-hop legends like Sweatshop Union, Snak The Ripper, Ishkan, Just-B, DJ Murge and EpedeMIC. 

Now, based in Victoria, BC, he is ready to release his new album, Surrey Struggles. Smoky is continually learning new techniques to take his music to the next level.
