JS Alvarez, is a dedicated and adventurous connoisseur of music but is loyal to no one genre. At an early age, Alvarez engulfed himself in punk, hardcore and metal while growing up in Miami. While performing with a handful of hardcore punk and post punk bands, his musical taste expanded widely. So he decided to give DJing a chance. After celebrating 2 years of running a successful dance party in Miami, he moved on to Chicago, cutting his teeth on more disco and soul. Now he finds himself as a resident at Chicago's Smartbar with a monthly series called Research & Development. Although Research & Development focuses on techno, it consistently seeks to highlight artists who blur the lines of genre and experiment within and outside dance music.

Mike Servito is a  NYC based DJ originally from Detroit. Mike was one of the first 5 followers of this account and he put together a blazin hour mix of 90’s & Contemporary Chicago, Detroit, & New York tracks. Jackin & Acid madness on this one.🤯

Mike came up in the 90’s Detroit Rave scene, and moved to NYC in the late 00’s and quickly became a resident at the Bunker(@thebunkerny), and continues to be a fixture at Detroit’s No Way Back (@ithqdetroit) parties.. To date Mike plays at all the fab clubs &  parties in nyc and is highly featured globally.  During the lockdown in NYC, he played marathon live streaming sets from his living room and turned out one of my favorite techno mixes of 2020(Community Bread).

Sometimes she’s giving house, the fiercest acid & techno sets, and sometimes 90’s R&B & Hip-Hop.. whatever it is it’s always ovahness!!

All live mix situation performed at 606 Records in Chicago during a ROCKSTEADY DISCO release party recently. ALL ORIGINAL VINYL PRESSINGS passed through a beautiful CONDESA mixer (very Italian seeming) belonging to Peter Croce. At least THREE DIFFERENT pairs of ORIGINAL ITALIAN sunglasses were donned DURING this mix by JESSE. Mix performed in a very "laid back Italian" style so don't be a chooch about the mixing, it was all done on the fly with a lot of attitude. Donatello Vermicelli really took it to the old school on this one. Please enjoy.

Footjob is releasing its second various artists sampler called “Footure Classics Vol.2“. The latest edition complies 5 tracks - traditionally genre-specific between house and disco.
This time fresh names are presented besides the established suspects Sascha Ciminiera and Lukas Lehmann such as legendary Hans Nieswandt (Whirlpool Productions) as well as acclaimed DJ Friction from Benztown. Both debutants lend a helping foot in order to add two wonderful tunes. As if this would not be enough, the compilation is wrapped up with a very special trove from the archives of DJ Service.
