BLACK BELT KARATE (LA) RELEASE NEW HALLOWEEN SINGLE - “WILD SEX (IN THE WORKING CLASS)” - Oct 22nd

Los Angeles-based progressive rock outfit Black Belt KARATE have announced their forthcoming single release, a cover of Oingo Boingo’s “Wild Sex (In The Working Class)” via Organic Audio/BFM Digital.  The band has appropriately timed the Danny Elfman-penned raucous working class anthem for an early Halloween release, along with astounding cover art by David Urbanic.

Black Belt KARATE decided to record the track at the behest of fans, after premiering it at local LA-based shows over the summer of 2013.  It showcases a stripped-down, high-octane reworking of the original.  Horns, xylophones, and larger instrumentation have been eschewed for Black Belt KARATE’s signature raw, rock-n-roll delivery, showcasing the band’s intricate rhythmical balance, soaring emotive vocals, and an aggressive melodic timbre infamously said to “make guitar purists cringe.”  The swaggering lyrical context works well within the framework of the band’s established character, provocative and insistent it its delivery.

“Wild Sex (In The Working Class)” will be available on all major digital stores on Tuesday, Oct 22nd.  A limited edition signed and numbered artwork print will also be available through the band’s website / merchandising outlets.
