There’s a weight that comes with watching the world unravel—seeing history repeat itself, the same corrupt figures tightening their grip, the same cycles of violence, greed, and decay playing out over and over again. Council of Elders is that weight turned into sound—raw, unrelenting, and heavy with the kind of anger that festers when you realize nothing ever really changes.

The album is drenched in atmosphere, with cold, droning guitars, blast beats, and vocals that exist somewhere between a scream and a dirge. At times, it spirals into chaotic intensity; at others, it slows to a suffocating crawl, sitting in the discomfort of it all. It’s not meant to be hopeful. It’s not meant to offer solutions. It just is—like the feeling of standing in the middle of a collapsing empire and knowing you can’t do a damn thing to stop it.

This is the black metal album I’ve been working on to reflect the anger and helplessness I feel about the current political situation of the world.

Moonlight in the Pool drifts like a forgotten hymn through still water. Built on fluid synth textures, soft percussion, and melodies that ripple like reflections, this track swims in the liminal space between waking and dreaming. There’s no rush—just the quiet pull of something ancient and serene, like moonlight touching the surface of a sacred pool long hidden in the woods. It’s the sound of solitude, of surrender, of floating.

Part of the Court of Pan project, this track leans into the more meditative side of the mythic—water replacing fire, trance replacing frenzy. A moment to exhale.
