Resuming the series with a new mix from Wingnut!

Eora/Sydney Resident is currently overseas in North America travelling through the states however the mix presented reflects on the mood within the party scene last year.
The mix inspired by their Pyrite set in December captures the talent on offer to Eora/Sydney participants.
Hidden under a Highway underpass, the set created a different little world away from the intensity of the Pandemic.
Swaying, masked up bodies enjoyed the set that flew through contemporary tech/ dnb, early through back gems and diverse idm symphonies.

Wingnut, poses an interesting soundscape that will continue to enlighten local events. Cemented through the co running of “boof” program/party with close friend D-Grade!

Last February, you may have remembered Soria opening our launch party back in Hen’s Teeth, and now for the sixth in our mix series we are beyond words with delight to present to you this dreamy hour-long selection by the Dublin-based DJ and producer.  A recent graduate of the sculpture department at the National College of Art and Design, Soria is an incredible creative whose deeply considered process and output transcends artistic category.  Alongside her fine art practice, she is a ray of light within Dublin's nightlife as a beloved and prolific selector and producer.   Having played a vast range of venues and nights in Dublin including Strawberries (of which she recently became a resident DJ), Yamamori Tengu and Wigwam for Club Comfort amongst others as well as recently playing at Nick Libra’s performance piece 'Anatomy of Night' for Dublin Fringe Fest, Soria is a versatile and experienced live performer.   Her sets hit a deep emotive core that fuse with a playfulness and irreverence, epitomising both the sensitivity and radiant humour of Soria herself.  Capturing a transitional period from the hedonism of the summer into the cool breeze of Autumn this mix invites you to one last burst of pleasure in the sun.  Expect hypnotic vocals and bouncy trance beats. This one is special.

Safety Trance (@cardopusher) is a new alias from Luis Garban aka Cardospusher, the Venezuelan noise-mangler who has spent 20 years twisting together EBM, acid, hardcore, wave, acid and techno. In the past, this moniker has seen him work alongside Rosalia and Planningtorock on tracks from Arca ́s KiCk series for XL Recording, and earlier in the year he dropped his Noches de Terror EP on Boysnoize Records. It found him exploring new possibilities within the world of reggaeton, always with his own textural twist. 

And that mission continues in this week's podcast which collides stiff, angular rhythms with caustic industrial, acid, rave and trap. It's a strobe-lit selection of head-thrashing electronic music packed with girt and grime. As Garban notches up the tempo things get ever more wild and noisy so that, eventually, you're left completely consumed by the dystopian fuzz. What a thrill.
