Tunesday Recordings proudly presents its third release, bringing the two balearic pop originals "Brazilian Breeze" and "Mysterious Nights" from the sought-after 1986 LP "Leaving You" by Preludio to today's dance floors. The Italo-influenced songs mark the very first work of Peter LaSalle who has made a name for himself with several releases under the moniker Sound Surgeons in the 2000's.

As a first endeavour under the moniker DNA (standing for Danny, Norm & Andres), the trio centered around Andres Astorga aka Trujillo brings out their own vsionary reworks with nothing but the songs' titles as inspiration. On "Brazilian Breeze", they dive deep into an ocean-blue rippling with cool synthesizer sequences and steel drums. "Mysterious Nights" teases you into a Linn Drum-driven adventure in which hazy waves mingle with late 80's guitar licks and soothing brasses.

Thuyan'y' is a feel-good, crowd-heater tune by Congolese-born guitarist Maïka Munan. Originally appearing on his eponymous CD Maïka Munan (1989, France) and on Emma (Unknown, France), this track is a more dancefloor-friendly version that is sure to light up the crowd.

New edit out! A cherished  first collaboration between myself and my zouk padawan and good friend Vrøge. On top of our regular zouk discussions, we've also shared many special moments on the dancefloor together, so an edit together has been on the horizon for a while now!

This one is a gorgeous, bumpy 90s digi-zouk floorfiller with gorgeous horns, sultry vocals and a hefty low end. Self released in 1991, 'Zouk +' was sadly only album put out by Georges Pronzola (aka Gustamberg), would have loved to hear more of his beautiful music!

When planning a visit to the Netherlands I sent over the track with the idea of creating the edit together in person. Mesmerised by the track Youri quickly agreed to the idea, after which we of course completely forget about the whole thing and I flew home 😂. 

However, eventually we remembered and had a blast collaborating online to create the edit! After a few iterations we feel it's finally ready to share, and were delighted to early support from Hunee a few weeks ago! Hope you enjoy :)

Expositions is a one-man (Reuben Vaun Smith) band that’s been slowly gaining force as a wave ready to hit every Balearic beach and beyond. Yellow Haze hits the Forest Jams label with four complete burners of tunes, so hot you can smell the sun-block melting away. Smith along with the mysterious “Hannah” lay down some serious laid back vibes with their vocals that fit the backing of “Get With You” just perfectly. Rollerskaters is an instrumental that has us up off the beach and onto the boardwalk for a freestyle rollerskating dance session. Sun Shine Down has Smith back on vocals and the title speaks for itself. Walk along the water of the Pacific has the sun is going down to this one for full effect. Holding On closes out what you’d wish to be an endless summer. Look out for more from the man soon!

Expositions - B1 - Sun Shine Down

After a long spell of Goa Trance and other electronic music since the 90s here in Anjuna Beach, I sat on the beach over a bowl of Mayo with Frietjes and a lobster one day when it hit me, I realized I should assemble an A-Team of the best diggers and edit makers to start a new label based around the genres where my music journey began back in 80s Amsterdam -  Disco / Synth-Pop and New Wave, perhaps even some early House. After some deliberation over a big pitcher of warm Heineken with ice cubes, I decided on the name Smutty Edits. I will get some help on curation and Art Direction from friends in Europe, some of whom feature on the upcoming releases. Let's see what we can come up with. Bear with me!
