The original was recorded by 'Jefferson Airplane' and now remade by <a>Kalm Kaoz</a> ft <a>Trinity</a> and we are so blown away to be asked to do a version :D ... #MLUSA #LBF2014 .. Also Oren from LBF made all the guitars in our mix.. Way to go Mate!!!

This is one of my favorite songs on the new album. I have listened to that 1st "drop" on loop approximately 18 zillion times; it reminds me of the sparkling melodic downtempo I fell so deeply in love with back in the day - exploring the side rooms & chill rooms with avant-garde sound-systems playing music from left field… or spiraling liquid abstract downtempo that would play during sunrise at a free outdoor full-moon celebration. Listening to this style of music was one of the 1st times I really registered in my mind that I was hearing an 808 bass, and it began a whole side-genre for me as a producer: using those drums to strengthen any other genre or sound. And who doesn't love a good vocoder… also a classic sound to my ears from the 1990s rave scene. This one says "We're reaching out to set you free" and it captures that healing energy of feeling rescued by friends (or angels) - this is one of the most important effects music has had on my life: making me feel healed.

Next up on Hell Yeah is another fine transmission from Russia in the form of a Uninc & Kolomensky EP. There must be something in the water over there right now because the country is producing plenty of red hot sounds and this new four tracker is no different. 

Kolomensky just released an EP on UK label Clandestino, has been remixed by Hell Yeah’s Balearic Gabba Sound System as well as Felix Dickinson and has had his tunes played by none other than Andrew Weatherall and Leo Mas. Here he links with partner in crime Uninc and together they have a big arsenal of fat tunes that are wild in tempo, sample based, sprinkled with acid and set to get any party started. This is the first batch of them and it doesn’t disappoint. 

Up first is ‘Bastard’, a loose but body popping tune with 80s electro claps, prickly bass and all sorts of sirens, vocal samples and lasers adding detail to the prowling groove. ‘Doormos’ is more smooth and balearic, with drifting trumpets bringing a beach vibe to the classic vocal samples while ‘Into the Thing’ is a fantastic brew of synths, claps, 909 drums, boogie chords and general wonkiness that will liven up any set, especially with the *** ***** ***** vocal samples. Lastly, 'Svadba' is a full on and busy party tune with stomping drums, wild xylophones and tribal chanting getting you up on your toes with your hands in the air. 

These are four tracks that are packed to the brim with crazy sounds, effects, samples and colour, and they are a lot of fun.
