Russian Producer Volta Cab presents himself in MM Discos with Balearic Balsam EP. The record explores the borders of the sound that was born in the white island, blending it with a “new-wave” oriented vibe. On the A side, Saint Petersburg based producer, shows us what he likes the most partying obscure rhythms with summery-soothing atmospheres. On the B side, the talented Greek producer “Anatolian Weapons” takes over the control by remixing Shujumi. We've the remix by Pletnev premiering via us today.

For our fifteenth release we are pleased to introduce Selva debut’s on GLBDOM with Duffel Bags EP.
Selva is producer and occasional DJ hailing from Merida, México who produces a sample based house sound for both home and club use on his old computer.
This EP is a house incursion into the old school hip-hop subculture and sampling techniques. Jazz and soul loops and cuts vandalized with urban noise and covered in dazed out synths. Some tracks are aggressively energetic like the opener "Duffel Bags" and the East coast styled "NY1994", while others like "Electric Sheep" and "Sampled Dream" offer mellower grooves for easy listening.

Next up on Lyssna Records is no other than Aspetuck from the great state of New York. He's a friend of the label and one of the hardest working producers around. We're immensely proud to be given the privilege to release his four track masterpiece "Lost the Key". The EP is full of swirling 303s, off kilter beats and synth laden soundscapes, ingredients we love here at Lyssna HQ. "Lost the Key" is slated for a Bandcamp exclusive release on the 3rd of September before it hits streaming services and other online boutiques a bit later.

Atomic-age western meets flying saucer minimal-wave, in this absolute howler. Hand crafted, heavily modified electronics, built by Talaga himself, mangle 50's death rays, fuzzed-out alien lasers, and primitive mechanized robotics, swaying in perfect unison with dusty, wind-swept guitars, sludgy whistling vocals, and rich delay in a symphony of old west psychedelia. So saddle up and hit the trail with a 10 strip in your pocket, a ray-gun at your hip, and ride off into the psychotropic sunset before the fallout blows your way.

That’s what they like, these humans. Seeking for the perfect visible form. A from, that endlessly rewinds endlessness. That copies beauty with beauty, yet to be decided, what beauty is. What makes a unique shape, a marvelous appearance? How does it shine? The idea. The one, that is always changing its appearance. How can one thing in general be many things in particular? 

So far, only Die Tödliche Doris managed to come close to answers. Since 1980 it’s constantly peeling herself. From one shape to another. Physical, and not so physical. Air, concrete, plastic, ideas, ideals. Wigs and cobblestones. Hi-Heels and uniforms. Photographs and videotapes. Field recordings, songs, SO36 anarchy in the true sense of the tribe. Doris was out there. Doris is out there. Doris is everybody. 

Now even more than ever. She was never yesterday anyway. The future wasn’t her thing either. And in the present, she has never been seen. At this very moment, when “Im Bausatz” comes to live, Doris is all. Finally. Yet not eternally. A Kashual Plastik tape, digitally enhanced with bonus tracks, featuring contemporary producers from around the world, listening to names like Aaron Dilloway, Brandstifter, T.V.S.T., Hugo Capablanca, ML, Beau Wanzer, Nika Son, Laura Not, or Saskia Lavaux. 

They all been Doris for a while. Totally tödlich. Fooling around with original recordings of the original Doris of whom nobody really knows who she really was. They followed a call from the modern-day social network spheres, where Die Tödliche Doris asked the world to reshuffle some old original tape recordings. Out of the millions of submissions, Doris selected 36 works, that together shape the Doris of today for a brief moment of time. 

All remixers, re-shufflers, editors, sculpturers, creators fashioned rugged limousines in sound. Stretched and edged. Arrhythmic and rhythmic. Some closer, some farther to the original. Tearing saws, tape drones, ghost paroles, veiled choirs, voices from the afterlife, pulsating synths, distant telephone calls, tripped out rhythm patterns – Doris is really tödlich. Heißen sie Doris? 

A thousand voices with one word. “Im Bausatz” brings elegantly shaped music for lethal explosions, that questions the "construction" of truth, that is always at issue. A music kit, that comes as multiple conceptions of tonality, as all reality has the structure of a differential trace. Deconstructed constructions, nothing seems to fit together, and yet a 36-track strong opera of the many Die Tödliche Doris rises from the dust of its own identity, identifying you with it in Doris.

CHBB is Chrislo Haas (former DAF member) 
and Beate Bartel (founding member of 
Einstürzende Neubauten and of Mania D) 
in 1981 released a series of 4 C-10-tapes, 
each in an edition of 50 pieces only. 

They evolved into Liaisons Dangereuses 
in the same year of 1981 with Krishna Goineau 
who moved to Düsseldorf, where he met
 Chrislo and Beate, who already were 
recording together as CHBB. 
He became the singer of their joint project, 
recording in Conny Plank’s studio.

Charles Manier(founding member of himself)
was introduced to the world in 2002 from his 
1st “12” on Ghostly records and on a compilation 
for Ersatz Audio in the same year that for us 
turned our attention in his direction as the 
most important and significant hero who became 
the future face of inspiration of CHBB/Liaisons signature style of sound.

this new recording in the studio insert series 
on our soundcloud is a musical kaleidoscope 
of everything the artists passionately created 
from their brilliant minds and hearts that’s 
4 1/2 hours long on this fantastic voyage 
from Traxx playing material from his personal 
collection of vinyl and exclusive content as a 
journey for those who are familiar and 
unfamiliar with these heroes and icons 
showing respect and appreciation of 
electronics by showcasing these significant 
and important layers from the timeline 
in the 80s til currently today.
