This is an extraordinary piece, congratulations! I have already listened to it four times. However, I'm confused by part of the timeline. I was under the impression it took 10 hours to reach the bottom of the cave. How - on the second dive - could Dave have reached the bottom, died trying to attach the corpse, and floated up to where Ian - who had followed Dave only by 14 minutes - spotted his flashlight? In addition, how could Ian be convinced that Dave was dead rather than having made it to the surface? I don't quite understand why Ian wouldn't have asked instead of stating it on his writing slate. I'd be grateful for clarification, especially of my former question. Thank you very much, for this piece in particular! Rikki
