The extended movie version of this song is originally performed in the 1986 film: "The Malibu Bikini Shop" that is covered by The Chipmunks and The Chipettes in the 1987 cartoon film: "The Chipmunk Adventure" as well as the film's end credits. 

The original soundtrack version of this song was also released on both two CD soundtracks or albums: "The Chipmunk Adventure: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack" in 1987, and "The Chipmunks and The Chipettes: Born to Rock" in 1988.

The soundtrack album version of this song was also included in the "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel" video game in 2009. 

In "The Chipmunks Go to the Movies" episode: "Bigger!", the "Girls/Boys of Rock 'n' Roll" song was used, playing and was only performed by The Chipettes (as The Babes), split into two pieces.

This is the theme song to PBS Kids Zoboomafoo. The show first aired on PBS from January 25, 1999 to around 2010. By 2010, the show was cancelled. It was cancelled because it had to make way for another Kratt Brothers television show, Wild Kratts. Before Zoboomafoo, there was another PBS Kids Kratt Brothers television show and it was shown on PBS Kids in the early 1990s to 1996, it was Kratts Creatures. Zoboomafoo was also shown on Sprouts until 2011. The show was filmed from 1999 to 2001. The lemur that was playing Zoboomafoo was Jovian. After they stopped filming the show in 2001, Jovian lived a great life at Duke Lemur Center in North Carolina. In 2014, he had died from a kidney failure at the age of 20. News of his death spread worldwide. Enjoy
