For this mix I focussed mainly on current tracks by some of my favorite producers at the moment. It opens with breezy breaks before heading over into driving 4-to-the-floor territory. Always keeping the tension and building up to a climax.

Get ready to turn up the volume and bust a move, because SNCD03 is about to drop! The record is the brainchild of Vancouver-based DJ and producer Garneau and SNC Records.
Garneau burst onto the scene with his debut EP "Old School" in 2018, and he's been slaying the game ever since. He's worked with some of the best in the business, including Paris Mitchell, DJ Deeon, and DJ Slugo, and now he's teaming up with SNC Records to deliver a record that's nothing short of mind- blowing. The idea for SNCD03 came about during Garneau's visit to the label in October ‘22, during a stay in Europe. The creative juices started flowing, and they quickly realized that the collaboration was a match made in musical heaven, and the result is a record that's memphis-inspired, and full of dynamic beats that'll keep you grooving all night long.

"We had an amazing time working with Garneau," said Valentin from SNC Records. "The EP is a true representation of the magic that can happen when creative minds come together, and we’re thrilled to share it with the world."

Attention, Electro-heads! SNC Recs is back with its first vinyl release for 2024, presenting a treat for all breakbeat enthusiasts with Friedrich Ernst's Breakthrough EP. The old-school influenced 12’’ is garnished by two high-grade remixes contributed by none other than the new-wave electro pioneers, DJ MELL G and Viikatory.

Hailing from Dresden, Friedrich Ernst discovered his passion for electronic music at an early age. After relocating to Leipzig in 2020, he co-founded the label "Self Learning System" with DJ Unisex, focusing on releasing electro music and organizing events. Since then, Friedrich has honed his own style and established himself internationally as a label owner and producer, increasingly focusing on live performances.

His second solo EP, marked by his detail-oriented and uncompromising electro sound, fits perfectly into the SNC Recs catalog and brings a dignified start to the tenth series. Completing the release are remixes by DJ MELL G and Viikatory, each bringing their own personal touch to a different track.

Dan and Jay discovered their synergy in 2021 when they started their concept of a sound system on a cargo bike with a simple mantra : “sound anywhere, anytime, with anyone”. This innovative project with its old-school approach took off perfectly, quickly becoming one of the hottest illegal open air parties in the French capital and building a large fan base in just 2 years. 

Their first release on an external label is defined by a pulsating and distinct bassline, clear nods to 90s house, and unmistakable rave undertones. "Rave Machine" strikes a chord with contemporary tastes and neatly sums up the duo's musical ethos. After a brief summer break, SNC Recs returns with its biggest release to date. To celebrate the label’s five-year anniversary, Felix, Valentin & Emi have united their network for a special compilation: Ravers United Against Fascism. Given the current political climate, SNC aims to raise awareness and speak out loud against fascism and all right-wing ideologies. Therefore, all proceeds will be donated to apabiz (www.apabiz.de), which focuses on monitoring and analyzing the extreme right in Germany after 1945. 

Not only do ravers unite, but so does the SNC label family. Alongside familiar names like Raphael Schön, AZO, Parco Palaz, The Duty Freedom, Friedrich Ernst, Chocolate Grinder (1/2 of Duo Paradiso) and Fufi.SNC, new faces also join the compilation. Renowned producers Dangerous Dreaming, KARO and Jetson G make their debuts, while newcomers Freddo, Tschstin, and DJ H3NN7 also get their moment to shine.

The release features an overall house vibe, with two UKG tunes and a spherical breakbeat closer by the mind behind the Chronic Durations EP. Opening the EP, Bliss Inc. delivers two dreamy, forward-leaning cuts: "Outside" builds a hypnotic flow with layered textures, shimmering pads, and a steadily driving bassline. "Verbs" channels a 90s-inspired trance energy – bold, pulsating, and emotionally rich. Following up, DJ Teeth keeps the momentum alive: “Ticketera” rides a tight groove with playful swing and sensual vocal snippets, and “El Niño” closes the EP on a tender note —weaving lush harmonies, polyrhythmic detail, and a gentle push toward sunrise.
