The set you put on suddenly brings you out of rhythm, but getting up to skip the track is no longer an option.

We have been scouting for the perfect sunday morning sets for quite a while already and @Mattmosphere has been a steady supplier of them for us. So we asked him and his partner Adriana to record one hour of music together, to which they like to stay in bed with.

It's an intimate ask, but they said yes and this beauty of a set is the result. 

Mattmosphere selected half the tracks and adriana aka @amapola-sounds selected the other half and sang her own beautiful lyrics ( see below), their good friend @morgen_musik recorded them and the result is something magical:

We all know this moment, you are lying in bed with a loved one and the world stands still.

You put on some music to set the scene for rising temperatures under the sheets…

The set you put on suddenly brings you out of rhythm, but getting up to skip the track is no longer an option.

We have been scouting for the perfect Sunday morning sets for quite a while already and while "Eigentlich heissen wir Klaus" & "Mattmosphere" have been steady suppliers of them for us, we also developed the idea of asking befriended artists to record one hour of music, to which they like to stay in bed with a loved one.

It's an intimate ask, but most of them said yes.

For Cuddle Cast #33 we asked Vienna based @djlenia to record a cuddle cast for us. We met Lenia back in 2018 when she played a b2b together with @casimirvonoettingen for our friends at @love-foundation. Since then we have been following her musical journey and we loved her 'And now something completely different..' series, which came pretty close to our cuddle cast ideas. Luckily she agreed to create one for us and the outcome is one of our favourite cuddle casts so far.

 Ka:lu  is an  artist that focuses his works on audiovisual installation, big projections, vjing, music production and djing.
   
   His journey into music starts at age 15 when he got the famous technics 1200; in 1999 he moves in Rome where he enters the Drum and Bass underground scene, getting involved in the Italian bass culture for years jumping from a Dj to a vj consolle; during this time he also keep exploring audiovisuals languages and electronic music production having the chance to perform in many parties, festivals and events in Italy and at international level too (Holland, Germany, Spain, Canaries, England, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Norway and Iran).
 Moving from the city to the green hills in the center Italy, after some years of being off from music, he returns back on djing and production looking for different sounds such as deep techno, downtempo, dubtech, slowtech, ethno, tropical, meditative, multicultural.   
 Through his arts, as in music, he always tries to express the believe into sounds as universal language, a way to get in meditation, a tool to understand where we are coming from, where we are, where we are going. Any of his creation always has a story behind that aims to deliver aesthetic journeys providing an immersive experiences for heterogeneous audiences.  
 His oeuvre are a mix between digital image/sound and different materials such as iron, fabrics, wood.
His artistic approach is the result of a learning by doing.
His works are the way to show and express the achievement connected to life he is facing daily.
He is always looking for beauty and aesthetics results that can be an immersive experience for a miscellaneous of audience.

ABOUT
Tatjana Sünders, alias SNDR_Xone or leeres_leben, is a multi-faceted artist of electronic music - rooted in the classic four-four beat, characterized by the spirit of techno. Her sound world is “based” on the unmistakable industrial sound of Berlin and unfolds further into the electronic traditions of Detroit and Chicago.
For over two decades, SNDR_Xone has been shaping her musical journey as a “vinyl-only DJ” - starting with self-built low-budget equipment and belt-driven turntables. This challenge sharpened her ear and honed her sense for balanced pitching and organically flowing transitions.

Whether minimal techno, tek, ambient, downpitch, industrial or classic Detroit/Chicago sound - SNDR_Xone knows how to build DJ sets narratively: concentrated, lively, emotional. For them, DJing is not entertainment, but an intuitive, profound connection between music and people - a sensual experience in space, sound and time.


“techNOage - from six o'clock clubbing”: rethinking the future of techno

With her series of events in Vienna, SNDR_Xone is rethinking club culture: early, inclusive and socially conscious. Under the motto “from six o'clock clubbing”, she has created spaces for people who often remain invisible in traditional clubs: senior citizens, people with visible and invisible disabilities, parents, but also the ravers of yesteryear. Her goal: to recode clubbing. Away from the constraints of the night, towards an open place to dance together, away from normative barriers. Here, techno becomes a medium for social closeness and collective forgetting of everyday burdens.
After summerbreak "techNOage" is happening as a "from three o`clock clubbing" / starting saturday afternoon until evening.

leeres_leben - sound as transience

With her sound project leeres_leben, she focuses on the transience of the moment. A sound is created, fades away, a beat begins, fades away - like a rainbow that appears and disappears. The aesthetics of leeres_leben_sound combine melancholic depth and experimental courage - a mixture of avant-garde electro-jazz interwoven with technoid melancholy.
