The source of the new Dunkeltier edit (this moniker I use for the dark ones) has seen a re-release on the 'Tecnodelia · Tendencias (1980-1981)' LP on the Domestica label from Barcelona. The band itself emerged from the Valencian underground in the mid-80s.

TODOTODO was a Technorchestra which emerged on the music stage at the beginning of the eighties, just when Techno movement was the dominant one in the European music framework. 
Although its influences were much wider, the three members in TT were absolutely committed to the contemporarity of Techno music language and its possibilities. Every third of the trio was, in itself, an open door towards creativity and each one was concerned with a different view of the same reality, to which, through different ways, they wanted to reach all together with every song they wrote. Francisco “Paco” García, in an impossible get-together with Truman Capote, Andy Warhol and Erik Satie, translated into numbers the stave graphology, almost in a cabalistic way. [...]

'Nativa' is the most likely track to dance to from the album - so it was due to be edited.
The Domestica remaster was quite agressive in the mid-range and the original arrangement of 'Nativa' gave little time for DJ's and dancers to indulge into the heavy groovy bassline. This was adjusted. 
And finally - just before the upload - I also EQed the (sub)bass to my taste. Less pumped, more authentic (808 action), proper sub.

DON'T LEAD ME (NEXUS 21) TRIBUTE - DJ THEO MIGHTY MIX 2016

Perched on a crossroads, Pin Up Club approaches electronic music with a magpie’s nature. A spread of styles has been picked, plucked and plundered to make ‘Friends Of The Vortex’. The title piece snaps with clean beats as Blade Runner bars build with an energy that can only be described as palpable. Latin percussion and samples get the groove going for ‘Children Of The Void’. Flirting, the tone twirls and turns. Keys are big and full bodied, balanced perfectly by the crack of a snare. ‘Out Of The Unknown’ closes. A slow burning piece brimming with brooding cinematic shapes and strings, a work that shows the colder edge of this dutch duo. Quality through and through.

Rhythmatic - Take Me Back (Mark Archer Nexus 21 RMX)

I have a pretty full backstock, but anyways – just by chance – I’ve chosen ‚Nexus 21 - Life Keeps Movin’ as a representative 1st timer.

Until today I thought this is an underestimated Kevin Saunderson record, which lacks the pop-appeal of the Inner City hits. Surprisingly it turned out: Nexus 21 is a former Altern8 project. And at least Kevin did some remixes on a re-release 12" on KMS. However or even more it is more flowing in a mixed set. And generally my edits will try to serve the DJ’s demands, so I kicked out the badly sung chorus, kept the refrain, extended the acid elements, built some climax and did some classic beat juggle editing.

Usually I try some re-mastering as I often got the original from vinyl (that’s soooo 80ies!!!).

In fact there was no need but stereo expanding and reducing the high peaks for you.

Well, that’s it. The track (formerly a song, :-]) didn’t become fresh, but rough as we can stand old school house today.

Das Komplex aka Marcin Łukaszewicz, architect and producer from north of Poland, delivers some long-awaited new stellar dance material on Luvshack Records. After some releases on Love On The Rocks or People Must Jam and an album on Pets a few years ago, we discover today this new stellar emo-disco jam, blending a wide range of dance music codes, from splendid balearic arpeggios to dark guitars notes, heavy disco bassline, massive kick drum and psychedelic dub fx backgrounds and percussions. This tune built as a long 10 minutes story has to be played from start to end, and we can’t wait to have this, vibrating in the speakers or our next outdoor summer never-ending night.

This Album, a child of the Shelter Me Festival in December 2020, is in Aid of Shelter UK and the
wonderful work they do to helping people with homelessness or difficult housing conditions.
The Festival took place over 3 days, across the 3 cities of Manchester, London and Leeds, and
several of the artists who performed live at the event have contributed to this production too.
The track used for the project is entitled Shake Up Your Mind by Steady State which contains a
vocal sample of Ofra Haza from her song entitled Im Nin Alu. All remixes were created with the
greatest love and respect, with one common goal, to help others less fortunate than ourselves
through music, unity and genuine will to make a positive change.
Each and every one of the artists, producers and mastering services have generously given their
time freely to create a unique album of 21 remixes, spanning a colourful musical spectrum from
Dense Dark Dubbiness, through Timeless Techno and Uplifting Acid, to Squelchy Squalid
Chuggers.
This is a limited release set for 05.03.21 with all proceeds going the Shelter Uk.
All of us at Shelter Me would like to thank everyone who has helped, supported and contributed
along the way.

I use a blog to spread my edits to you, you and you.

If you love classic house, italo, disco and even early rave you are warmheartedly welcome on board.
