Running Thru The Breaks Vol.5

Here’s a short tape for the start of summer. I was filing records this past week and figured why not digitize a few before putting them back in the stacks, then slap together a new mixtape?

So here’s a 23 minute break mix with a few goofy vocal samples and accapellas thrown on top – I did it on Serato but it’s all original wax from my personal stash. For the beat-heads, hopefully there’s more surprises in here than not.

It was fun to cut it up. Maybe I’ll do a few more. Hope you enjoy.

DJ Kool Breez is a fixture in the Baltimore digging scene unearthing hip hop samples, drum breaks, funk, and interesting tid bits from every nook and cranny of every thrift store, antique mall, storage space, gym locker.  This was originally added to Soul Strut in 2009 and it's damn good!
