Released last September, Jordi van Achthoven and Micha Heyboer’s (aka Tinlicker) debut album ’This Is Not Our Universe’ took our world by storm, jumping to #1 on iTunes Dance upon release. A beautifully crafted journey through Jordi and Micha’s wide-ranging palette of progressive house and trance, the album featured an evergreen remix of alt-J’s ‘Breezeblocks’ as well as vocal singles ‘Lost’ and ’Need You’.

Their subsequent ’This Is Not Our Universe’ tour saw the pair traverse the globe in support of the album, including pitstops at Above & Beyond’s ABGT350 celebrations in Prague and the Anjunabeats UK tour.

Continuing the ’This Is Not Our Universe’ story, we welcome a host of remixes to the label from artists both old and new to the Anjunafamily. Fresh off his latest album ‘Deep State’ and setting up his Deep State Recordings imprint, Scottish producer Grum's progressive outlook on ‘Close Your Eyes’ has been a favourite in both his own and Tinlicker’s recent sets. With several heavy-hitting releases on Anjunadeep as of late, Spanish producer Dosem also joins the fray, contributing a deeper remix of ‘Vanishing’. To round off the package, Utrecht natives Deeparture and Tom Zeta tackle ‘Bird Feeder’ and ‘When The Light Fades’ respectively, whilst French producer and ‘Superset' pioneer Joris Delacroix adds his distinct melodic house flavour onto ‘Lost'.

Adding his unique sound to remixes for Armin van Buuren, Aly & Fila, and John O’Callaghan has seen Sneijder become one of the most in-demand artists in Trance. Releasing records regularly on the industry’s most respected labels and boasting a back catalog of hit records have helped cement his name firmly amongst the list of Irish greats.

In 2023, we saw the release of his second artist album, ‘Bring The Noize,’ an album showcasing his studio versatility and ear for killer melodies. His skills in production are hardly a surprise, with immense knowledge of the dance floor paired with years of cutting his teeth on the festival and club circuit, thus becoming well-versed in what sounds make the ears tick.

Sneijder launched Afterdark as a platform for himself and other similar-caliber artists in 2016, firmly asserting his iconic status in the underground. Afterdark stands for all things dark, original, and dance floor-oriented, while also playing its part by cultivating the careers of the next generation of the Trance Elite. Afterdark has now cemented itself as one of the best and most upfront labels in Trance.

In 2023, we also saw the launch of a new project from the Sneijder studio. ‘alt1’ brings together sounds inspired by Sneijder’s past in Hardcore, Hard Trance, Rave, and even Hip Hop. Brace yourself for a main stage musical experience with no rules or boundaries.

Wow, hadn't realised what a journey SoundCloud would take me on.  After many years of passive listening to music I've dieted on a variety of tastes. My appetite for new sounds is undiminished and SC provides plenty of food. I am not a musician and have only recently started to listen positively to the sounds. My early years began listening to music from ABC, The Beatles, The Carpenters Dire Straits Eagles Fleetwood Mac Genesis Elton John Led Zeppelin Gilbert O'Sullivan Rod Stewart Supertramp Tangerine Dream Vangelis The Who and many more.
If you can't spot a trend in my current likes it may be because it is diverse. I love listening to all my playlists which contain tracks that I like and if you like any of the music you must thank the artists not me.
