He has done it again! With his second full EP on SNOE, the mystical Alec Troniq delivers two new bangers that are destined to set every dance floor they come across on fire. “Key Mo” is the title track, and the sound is dirty, rough and ecstatic at the same time, just as we love it. An eerie synth introduces the whispering vocal building up to a big momentum where the track erupts in fury. 

Andreas Henneberg has joined in on the EP with his own interpretation of “Key Mo”. The heavy bassline in the remix vibrates along the synths and skilfully molded vocal elements from the original, giving it a true Henneberg touch while still keeping the oh, so explosive style. Rounding up the EP is “Chivy”, a slightly lighter but not less groove infested tune with a whirlwind of sounds working together towards the addictive, synth underlined drop where you just can’t stand still.

Slovenian DJ and producer UMEK has released Ravaged, his third EP of 2019, on his own 1605 label, out 19th July 2019. 

Opening proceedings, the acid-soaked title track sets the tone with its domineering kick drum and squelching 303s. An even heavier affair, ‘Cacophonous’ delivers a pummelling, full-frontal assault on the senses, before the EP is closed out by more acid - this time interspersed with melodic elements - on ‘Anomalies In Heart Rate’. It follows on from May’s Vibrancy, a three-track EP that combined a tougher techno sound with more emotive, melodic elements, and the dancefloor-focused 19119, released in April.

I began mixing occasionally in small parties in 2003. But more and more, I started to be disappointed by the pieces which I crossed and that often did not correspond exactly to the music which I would have liked to hear. I lost the taste of the mix little by little.... One day, by riffling through a catalog, I saw this machine, the ' YAMAHA RS 7000 '. I knew in the second that it was resolution in my feeling of faintness of DJ and that I was going to buy it. And that's what was done. After years of stitch and very many left out hours, I understood that I also had a passion, an exuberance in music. Now, in the instants of anger, depression or joy, my feelings make me compose my music, and it is for me much more that I would not have been able to imagine. The only thing which I want to push even farther, it is the distribution of electro movement, what we all make within Urban Structure. Here is.... now, you know my records.
