Born in Panama, and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Mikki Afflick comes from a family of musicians, singers, and dancers. Mikki has been a Dee Jay since the age of twelve.  Her label Soul Sun Soul Music founded in 2009, was very instrumental in releasing some early Afro tracks, prior to the genre of Afro House being identified. She is not afraid to push the envelope with her unique sound labeled as "An AfflickteD Soul Mix, which is an infusion of Afro, Latin, Soulful and Tek.  She’s been ranked as one of Traxsource’s Top 100 Afro producers.  Mikki Afflick is ranked as a top Dee Jay who blends a mixture of Afro, Deep, Soulful House, World, and Dance Classics, there is never a dull moment in her sets.

Originally released in 1998 with Danny Tenaglia, “Music Is The Answer” by Celeda is one of the defining tracks of the late ’90s club scene. In this AfroTech rework, I kept the legendary vocal and built a fresh groove around it, blending hypnotic percussion and Afro House textures — bringing modern energy while honoring the timeless spirit of the classic.
