With the exception of the Michael Jackson covers, which were recorded with Dan Goldman and Caley Monahon-Ward at the Daytrotter studios in 2009, most of these were recorded the day of learning about the death of an admired musical figure. Usually improvised with looping pedal and voice, and recorded on iphone. Just the raw response to the permanent loss of a voice that will never be repeated on the planet.
