After indulging in the slower territories for their last EP, So.undso return on their imprint Dance Petrol Records with four up-tempo cuts wrapped up under their EP „Imponiergehabe“.

The EP kicks off with the title giving track „Imponiergehabe", a homage to the golden days of new beat and Italo disco. So.undso masterfully weaves nostalgic elements into a contemporary soundscape, inviting listeners to revel in the magic of these iconic genres.

Next up is "Euro Training", a housy interpretation of Europes 80s take on electronic music spiked with trance, taking you on a rhythmic journey, blending infectious beats and euphoric melodies, creating a sonic experience that transcends time.

"Elektrik im Zaum" follows suit, introducing a touch of progressive house into the mix. Closing the EP is "Morso Di Serpente“, heavily influenced by new beat and early house, the result is a track that pays homage to the past while firmly rooted in the present, closing of the EP as an absolute late night weapon.

So.undcast 008 - Gonna Dance Instead

Over the course of their career, So.undso piled up 7 EPs, a dozen of singles and several free download goodies. Internationally represented on labels in Germany, United States, Italy & Russia, their sound is as multifarious as spread over the world. Something that is obvious considering their strong believe in creating the right mood for every party is what counts most.
Although 2020 made a halt to playing live, they bundled their energy with Jorginho Joao to create their label and musical outlet „Dance Petrol Records“ to give home to various styles of house music. With already 9 releases out and a few more on their way, the label becomes home for more and more likeminded artists from all over the world. Apart from forming their idea of house music on their own label, they are already looking forwarding to ending 2020 with a bang, their first vinyl release on Mango Sounds!
While they already released on well known labels like Plastik People, Soulbrain Records as well as Igor Gonyas Sundries and Lisztomania Records, their so far most successfull belter was released on HDSNs NBAST. “Disco Dolly” climbed up to Traxsource top 6 deephouse charts and stayed in top10 for 3 weeks.

We have already said it before in one of our premieres, let’s say it again: There are MANY interesting labels and outstanding artists out there that are still flying under the radar. Acclaimed by their local communities but still not nation/worldwide sought, they keep fighting the good fight either aiming to become rich & famous or keeping things simple & easy, just to make other people smile for a while with their craft.

Dance Petrol Records is one of these labels. With an incredible catalogue featuring high-quality House Music and its sub-genres, we can safely bet you’d find proper gems after only a few minutes of browsing their rich collection of releases.

So.undso is one of these artists. The German duo are the co-owners of Dance Petrol and can’t get enough of handing over top-shelf material not only on their own outlet but also on international imprints such as AWK, Lisztomania, and Inhale Exhale, just to name a few.  

The remixer is no different: Munich-based Jorginho Joao, the other boss of DPR, makes good use of refined production expertise and sharp creativity to bring to life frenzied peak-time House Music themes. 

So.undso’s “Alte Spuren”, released originally in May this year, comes back to the shelves with its “refueled” version featuring fangy remixes by Schegg, A_P_F_L, and of course, Jorginho Joao, who brought “Gedränge Vor Der Fähre” to a different turf: If the original is a melodic and trippy 106 BPM beauty, JJ’s 130-BPM interpretation is definitely a frenzied and lively beast.

The interesting Dance Petrol Records wraps its solid 2023 season by delivering the third episode of its end-of-the-year traditional compilation “Selected Fuels”. Through their bits, Jorginho Joao, Etur Usheo, Masupilami & Ferdi Funkestein, and So.undso, the label bosses themselves, precisely showcase the essence of the sonority intended by the German imprint: House Music at its very best independently of the position the theme occupies within the vast spectrum of the genre. 

Premiered here, Christoph and Markus’s contribution must have startled those familiar with their output as So.undso. Heavily influenced by early House and Garage with shards of Disco, the Bavarian duo decided to cook something way different to the colourful VA: “Just Like Before” comes soaked in Italo blended with a powerful acid aura. PREMIERE: So.undso - Elektrik Im Zaum [Dance Petrol Records]

“Imponiergehabe” (the German equivalent to “exhibitionism, imposing behavior”) is the name of the brand-new EP of the Munich + Passau-based duo So.undso coming soon on their very own Dance Petrol Records. Consisting of four tracks heavily influenced by Italo Disco and Trance, Chris & Markus set their foot on different soundscapes away from their customary House Music territory. Well, they warned about this change of behaviour in their previous appearance on DPR with “Just Like Before”, their contribution for the volume 003 of the compilation series “Selected Fuels”, and its naughty Italo-infused bearing. 

With solid appearances on Lisztomania, Mango Sounds, and DPR itself, the lads spare no efforts to keep evolving as artists and surprising their audiences with multi-genre-embedded cuts brought to life with high expertise and sharp creativity. 

Premiered here, “Morso Di Serpente” (Italian for “snake bite” – yeah, Chris & Markus might have embarked on a language spree this time) may start with a House Music vibe, but it does not take long for the “folgado” (Portuguese for “sassy” – sorry, we could not resist joining the party) style of our beloved Italo Disco shows its face – and once it takes over the stage, it’s game on! A peak-time singularity is born!

Although a few weeks have passed, we still want to recap our first edition of Lumen Open Air.

A huge thanks for the invite, the warm welcome and to everyone who attended this lovely festival and joined our set. Despite a temporary halt due to a thunderstorm, the event continued, and the energy on the beach stage was massive. Big up to everybody who joined us!
Although we usually do not record live sets, we decided to re-recorded this one due to popular demand. From House to Speed Garage to Trance, with percussive extravaganza and jungle samples sprinkled on top, the set was faster than our usual pace, but just the right match for this gathering!
We are really happy to share this one with you now.

The first episode starts of with the story of a short encounter of two strangers during the summer. Starting of in the afternoon with lightweight sounds, the mood starts to lift as the sun sets. Uplifting melodies make room for darker drives as soon as entering the club. Caught in the evening, the monotony breaks as soon as the random stranger appears. First sight, first contact, the music starts to peak, strangers to lovers, lovers to strangers. The journey closes beatless and atmospheric, and blurred as the sight of the two people who saw each other for the last time.

Philip Habel releases two tracks on @nbastmusic, and we are on the remix duties alongside @philco, @user-552360045 @hdsn. 
Getting our hands on his piano house stomper „I Can’t Tell“, we are very satisfied with our remix that took the original masterpiece even more into 90’s house spaces while preserving the raw touch.

Over the course of their career, So.undso piled up 8 EPs, a dozen of singles and several free download goodies. Internationally represented on labels in Germany, United States, Italy & Russia, their sound is as multifarious as spread over the world. Something that is obvious considering their strong believe in creating the right mood for every party is what counts most.

Although 2020 made a halt to playing live, they bundled their energy with Jorginho Joao to create their label and musical outlet „Dance Petrol Records“ to give home to various styles of house music. With already 15 releases out and many more on their way, the label becomes home for more and more likeminded artists from all over the world. Apart from forming their idea of house music on their own label, they are already looking forwarding to ending 2020 with a bang, their first vinyl release on Mango Sounds! 

While they already released on well known labels like Plastik People, Soulbrain Records as well as Igor Gonyas Sundries and Lisztomania Records, their so far most successfull belter was released on HDSNs NBAST. “Disco Dolly” climbed up to Traxsource top 6 deephouse charts and stayed in top10 for 3 weeks.
