Biographie: 
JF a vu le jour à Laval en 1978. Il grandit à St-Eustache dans une famille préconisant le sport ou la musique des années 50-60 et 70 était omniprésente. Très tôt, il découvre les Beatles et en fait une passion qui perdure encore aujourd'hui. Au milieu des années 90, un événement de musique vient changer sa vie à tous jamais, son premier rave, Enigma, ou il fait connaissance avec la culture underground et surtout, la musique électronique. Très rapidement, il s’intéresse aux dj's qui la joue et s'empresse à connaître les différents artistes déjà établis sur la scène. Participant à plusieurs événements par la suite, un rêve, une passion se développait tranquillement, devenir dj. C'est en 2002 que l'occasion est venue de s'acheter ses premières tables tournantes et premiers vinyles. Ayant comme idoles et mentor Sven Vath, Carl Cox, Adam Beyer, Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin, Dave Clarke et j'en passe, tous ces noms ont influencés le style et la technique de G.T.G. 
Ayant participé par la suite à plusieurs événements en tant que dj et organisateur, c'est en 2014 qu'il signe pour une résidence à djfmradio.com pour un show à tous les samedi soirs pendant 68 semaines consécutives, The Ghost Show. Aussi, il a fait une dizaine d'apparences sur Radio Akurox. Par le fait même, il fonde FunnyHouse production qui se spécialise dans les événements de musique électronique. 
Gerv The Ghost a l'occasion de se produire dans une cinquantaine de bookings dans les 2 dernières années, (Circus-Groove Nation-Bar La Shop, Festival FreeLife, Sunday32, Maskarade, évènements privés ECT..) ainsi d'avoir la chance de jouer pour Black Therapy. De plus, dans la dernière année, il fit une dizaine d’apparitions en duo avec son bon ami Dj Thompson, signe pour Metabolizm Record en tant que 1er artiste Tech-psy, se joint à la bonne vieille organisation Mental Crew et se produit à l’évènement Symbiose de Mental Crew en compagnie de la dj/productrice internationale Miss Monique. Plusieurs projets pour fin 2020 et le futur surtout avec Mental Crew, mais aussi Metabolizm et D32 plusieurs autres. Depuis Juillet 2020, c’est le retour de son émission The Ghost Show 2.0 à kracradio.ca produit par Mental Crew Production.

On Saturday a bunch of us enjoyed a beautiful afternoon with friends on the Limassol coastline in Cyprus. I played upbeat music all weekend (a new challenge not going deep and driving!) and this was definitely my favourite set in recent weeks!

Resident #5 on So What! Radioshow,
Cyme has always loved music he got into DJing 10 years ago and hasn’t looked back. You can expect a lot of different genres from this Underground DJ from good old House, Tech House, DnB, Glitch hop, Breaks, mid tempo, nu disco and techno. Always making a crowd dance, you can always expect a great set from him. In the past year Cyme has also gone to school for music production at Night Vision Music Academy in Edmonton, Alberta and took all 3 courses. As for releasing some music stay tuned this 2018.

It's been another few difficult weeks for everyone since the last Closer Distancing session/show/mix. And then when the ugly news broke about hungry children, being "voted against" this last week in Parliament, it's safe to say I was feeling a bit ropey.  

Thankfully there are many heroes looking out for our kids. Parents, teachers, childcare staff. This one is for you. Keep pushing on, keep engaging with each other and always dance. 

Love the way this starts off. Amazing first tune. Tried to keep it quite dark, uplifting, glowing, dirty, acidy melodic and prog vibes. Also ended up going a bit Cream in the mid 90's vibes with tunes from different eras near the end, even though they were from the mid noughties? Hope you enjoy. Please give it a share to those who you think might like it. 

Hope you like the journey of my cat in the artwork of Closer Distancing, too. Just keeping on with the creativity as it's good for mental health in these socially distance times. Plus he's my biggest fan when I play some tunes in our house...
