Welcome to the official remix competition for two tracks from Mr. Green's latest album 'Super Ape vs. Open Door' with musical legend Lee Scratch Perry. 

Mr. Green is a DJ/Producer hailing from NJ who has produced tracks for Snoop Dogg, Talib Kweli, Vinnie Paz, Jedi Mind Tricks and Westside Gunn among others. He's also behind VICE's 'Live From the Streets' series which explores inner city cultures through music. Lee "Scratch" Perry is an iconic music producer, singer and a pioneer of the development of dub music. He has worked with and produced for a variety of fellow iconic artists such as Bob Marley, Beastie Boys and The Clash and was sampled by Kanye West for his production for Jay-Z’s 'Lucifer.' 

Two beats are available for remix in this competition, and they're two sides of the same coin: the deep and dubby 'Callaloo' and the blazing 'Hot Fire', remix them separately or combine the sounds.

The is the first performance coming back from the amazingly inspiring journey on Jam Cruise 11.  It's raw, dirty, and a little loose from experimenting with the moogerfoogers and ether wave plus theremin controlling effects, but it has some good magic in it.  I wanted to share this initial exploration of what the HoveyCraft sound can be.  All original live remixes featuring trumpet, keys, moog voyager, melodica, ableton live, and etherwave plus for CV control over moogerfooger effects.
