At its heart, “Back to 1995” isn’t just nostalgia - it’s autobiography. The song honors the year Tenn wrote his first rhymes as a kid, turning childhood obsessions into a lifelong creative engine. What starts as pop-culture archaeology becomes a full-circle origin story told through humor, vivid imagery, and golden-era lyricism.

Anchored by boom-bap production, Tenn Buick unleashes a torrent of hyper-specific callbacks: Boris Grischenko’s pen-twirling in Goldeneye, Street Sharks at Taco Bell, the debut of blue M&Ms,  Val Kilmer’s Batsuit, Halloween cassette tapes at McDonald’s, Michael Jordan’s return to the NBA, the launch of the WB, Pogs in Lucky Charms boxes, the Budweiser frogs, Pete Sampras’ tennis reign, and countless more.
