"Coming off of notable appearances at SXSW (Bun B’s Official Bday Bash), Houston’s Erotic Ball and other high octane events in the region, SoBE LASH seemed intent on bottling some of that energy and mixing it with her signature boisterous style for a new compilation of songs that are as loopy and energetic as her personality.  The title track and album opener is loud and fast with layers of guitars and distorted vocals while the Nirvana sampling, “LiT” with it’s sparse collection of spooky bells and trap-ish baseline, is almost as nonsensical as it is brilliant.  “Big Red Cup” is as much fun as it sounds and “American Summer” is a well - written, surprisingly introspective, account of life on the other side of those endless, booze - filled summer nights."

If Channing Elizabeth Paul is the adroit, singer-songwriter with a gift for catchy melodies and playfully audacious lyrics, then alter ego SoBE LASH is the animated, out-sized personality that delivers these genre-bending, urban punk/pop arias with the electric verve and feverish energy of a crazed ringmaster.

Though she often cites contemporary artists like P!nk and Beyonce as influences, Channing also frequently references the cutting edge, pop music of icons like Debbie Harry of Blondie and “all time favorite” Michael Jackson. The attitude, confidence and musicality that is the common denominator of these successful pop acts absolutely pervades the LASH sound and image however; she has built on these attributes by incorporating the slick swagger of hip hop, the raw energy of electronic and punk and the glam-sexiness of the 80’s.
