Premiere: Nathan Hall - Existential Anthem (Sobek Remix) [You Plus One]

Although the digital sun shines bright in Tulum always we would say there are some tunes which could be labelled as winter music typically. @igor_bartyuk (from mountainous Caucasian) and @valon_music (from ice-cold Sweden) are the masters of this genre and we're more than happy to work with them on a deep journey up here.

The title track is a very good example how to build a vibe staying low and strange only, very well tested, very well working out, low risk on "Deceit And Pretense". And what deceit and pretense means these times? We'll leave it on you to imagine, hehe.

"Blatant Case" is almost a B side - if you know what B side is - but how the world and dancefloors resonates on sorrowful and dark music we agreed on to include, and to be honest is also a great one. The door opening horror part is our favorite, can feel the tension and see trouble with our third eye after entering the room.

Last year a fan hit us with a really cool feedback on our set and said "noise with a purpose". Licensing his thought on this one.

After closing out 2023 with the beautiful CONSTELLATIONS EP by JKJK, we thought it only makes sense carry on in 2024 with a reimagined version of it. Regarding the personnel doing the actual reimagining we assembled a stellar cast of producers from different realms of the galaxy we call „club music“, and we couldn’t be more happy with what they all came up with.

Our man in Budapest Sobek takes „Constellations“ to the big room, and hell yeah, it’s feeling quite comfortable there, creating a certified banger, hands in the air guaranteed.

Tel Aviv-based DJ and producer Takiru delivers a vibrant, dancefloor-centric fusion of warmly evolving arpeggios and driving percussive groove structures for Kiosk ID no. 027. Inspired by the unique sense of interconnectedness dance music can evoke, ‘All Of His Friends’ features two collaborations with Baroth and Omri Guetta and an atmospheric reimagination by Sobek.

‘All Of His Friends’ is a melodically-charged torrent of cascading arps, spaced-out vocals, and a compact, throbbing substructure. Anchored in buoyant, springy percussion, Takiru and Baroth’s \tle track unfolds waves of loopy synth themes that morph across the frequency spectrum, forming ever-evolving layers of melodic nuance across an infectiously danceable core.

Sobek’s edit electrifies ‘All Of His Friends’ with ultra-low subs, drawn-out energy arcs, and high-voltage percussion. An evoca\ve lead synth infuses the pulsa\ng original with a searing sense of drama and powerful anthemic quali\es.

‘Never Enough’ unleashes rays of flu2ering staccato chords and bit-crushed bass salvos that hover across perpetually cycling drum structures. Takiru and Omri Guetta invoke a yearning lust for life with a vocal mantra, epitomizing the power of dance music’s energetic release with a dynamic and brightly upliqing groover.

Takiru’s pulsa\ng and decep\vely melodic sound merges Indie Dance and uptempo Playa Tech into an arp-crazed brand of groove-centric dancefloor ecstasy. As a collabora\ve effort, ‘All Of His Friends’ encapsulates the power of interconnectedness in music – artistically in the studio and as a shared release of euphoria on the dancefloor.

Working together with your countrymen is a basic rule among melodic business bros - we've learned that over the years. As diligent students, we're always striving to adapt ourselves to these standards and actively searching for talents in close geographical proximity. It aint easy, I would say. 

Fortunately, Hungarian Papi @yourrmusic has been around for a long time, and we're more than happy that he teamed up with @sobek1 for two hypnotic dance floor burners. Lets take a look at each of these masterpieces one by one. 

Never Enough 
Beauty work on the synths, charismatic and psychedelic on the details. Its quite close to classical music in some ways, the drama exists, could be an anthem sometime. Perfect fit for transitions in a set or sunrises.

Uriah
Very very close to the title track but more functional especially if we talk about the break. That dried out synth which creates the tension is something, not to talk about all the psychos going all round. Madness.

His music is fun and fresh, oscillating between darker textures and melodic build-ups with warmer tones.

He's just out on Solomun's Diynamic so the moment couldn't be better to sign something for Complaint Kulture.

The two tracker sent to us is matching the press-text 100% above; ass-shaking dancefloor bombs which are kinda universal dj tools for any kind of music players out there. Both a bit tricky to mix but when you find the best way to put those loops in, gonna stay in your playlist for a long-long time.

Mishell - Not Too Hard

"Defeat" is a brilliant and unorthodox dance anthem for those who can upgrade themselves above straight 4/4 rhythms. Beautifully crafted breakbeat with surprising twists, playful percussions and it contains piano samples as well - what a trendy combo of our times.

Golden Hour - Defeat

Time and destiny have come, early autumn 2024 Tuluminaty took over our boutique label to impress.

Golden-haired @goldenhourdj delivered a beautiful bunch of tunes which we immediately got engaged to, not to mention the Dixon videos which were also part of the pack; the point of no return.

As a former junglist listening to "K.Y.M.O." was love at first sight, heavy drummed, nature atmosphere deep journey which turns wild at some point, but then sits back on the neck of the elephant. If you feel a bit zooish at the club playing give it a chance.

This weekend is truly an imprint of a culture that's not easy to discover these days, beautiful and kind people only, not to mention the perfectly curated lineup of all floors, hidden rooms and secret corners of this adult playground called Kater. It feels like a community where members do not necessarily know each other, but everyone knows that there is some invisible bond between them. Rare.

Marching into 2018 with serious intent: Monaberry reveal the first release of the year and it’s a biggie. Coming courtesy of new Hungarian artist Mulya, each of his three originals smack with energy, theatre and that powerful sense of storytelling that the Halle house HQ has made its signature.

‘Brick Talks’ strides with dramatic momentum and intention has heavily, cleverly layered percussion bounces back and forth with a tribal swing. Gradually building the groove, things take a wild switch when the vocal cry comes in and sweeps your dancefloor off their collective feet. Complete with a drum-focused hypno-grooved remix from Sobek, ‘Brick Talks’ breaks down more walls than its name suggests.

Elsewhere ‘Favilla’ reinterprets drama in much more of an entrancing way as waves of chords dance and hover majestically over a more stripped back driving arrangement. Finally ‘Nolan’ flips the switch with a chugging blaze of mbira hypnosis. Peppered with cinematic piano strikes, momentum is controlled with more layered atmospheres before a spellbinding breakdown causes soul meltdown on the spot.
