Social Eyes are a band determined to rattle the conventional mindset of what modern music should be. An experience is what they are conspiring to deliver to audiences, not merely a slideshow of soundbites. Their live shows should come with a warning, one should not drive or operate heavy machinery when under the influence.

The band began with Cristian, guitarist, the Italian Stallion, a prolific composer of sumptuous acoustic riffs. Orchestrally trained and highly focused, he pushed his instrument beyond the confines of formal music theory. Cristian left his home country in search of new challenges and fresh worldwide audiences.

Christian landed on the doorstep of Azam, drummer, the Malaysian Sensation, a stellar chunk of molten debris from the Brisbane metal scene. With a machine gun double kick targeting uncharted time signatures, Azam ripped Christian's riffs to shreds and reassembled them with little regard for standard structure.

They then recruited Ben, bassist, the Logan Bogan, a workaholic accustomed to laying down solid foundations amidst the maelstrom of punk rock. Confronted with rhythms already tight as a wheel nut, Ben bludgeoned the hairline cracks until whole sections split wide open, revealing jagged edges and soft gooey centres.

Finally came Chris, vocalist, the Swanky Yankee, who crashed headlong into the group with an unbridled exuberance infecting the whole band. Chris pierced the music's organic core with tendrils of synth and samples, while lifting the songs to dizzying heights with his polished vocals and inspired lyrics.

The songs evolved rapidly to reflect their diverse origins, imbibed with intriguing interludes and unexpected white-knuckle swerves. They offer no sanctum for their creators, no wall of howling distortion to hide behind, no comfortable repetition to lose oneself in. Futuristically medieval, heavy yet light of heart and soul, full of age old wisdom and truths yet untold, they will leave you relieved to see that music has in fact not all been done before.
