I want to be on the playlist the day you just want silent prayers and good music.” Fusing elements of hip hop, soul and kwaito at his most natural level of creativity, he plans to shape an elementary sound that can be both relatable and challenging the world-over. “We can’t put limits on creativity. I’m all for us promoting our local sound and our African heritage in music but we must never forget that world music is majorly influenced by Africa already. You want more kwaito artists? OPEN THE INDUSTRY. Imagine if we didn’t produce Nasty C? How much would we have robbed the world? I’m giving you my creativity and nobody else’s. I’m making a song from a mood and a vibe I really felt... that doesn’t always need a kwaito drum as much as a beautiful love song doesn’t have to be written in an internationally recognized language to be beautiful.”

Part of music group BENJAMIN BANTU and previously a member of high school rap hopefuls, Default - alongside Thami “Josta Ellè” Mnisi and Moshine Magnif (who would go on to become a co-founder of Witness The Funk)... shit... that’s a long ass time to still have made no real ground lol.
“We keep it real AF in these parts and we can laugh at ourselves 😅. Producers have wasted our time, procrastination has occurred, controlling ass managers have tried a 1-2 on us, thousands of people have already streamed some of what you can do but at the same time thousands have boo’d your live performance... and cheered you on in 2 different but same occurrences, we’ve played on commercial radio with no real plans to further promote the song... entlek with no plan at all 😂. From Thami and Mosh to Cyd and Ms Jaey of BENJAMIN BANTU, many lessons have been learnt. I’m fortunate enough to have had studio sessions with certified producers and I have nothing to show for it until now. BENJAMIN BANTU will fill a gap in the industry. Ms Jaey is a fresh RnB voice that can throw a 16 at any time that could shake things and Cyd is all wit and delivery, clever and vibey, on top of the musical co-production. We write different. I’m working with some fresh stuff. I feel like I’ve got an illegal addictive substance I haven’t started selling yet 😂. There’s so much to still learn and so many obstacles to still beat...
