The dub of a track recorded in 2006 with Ryan Walker at his old place off Franklin & Tamarind in Hollywood. Good memories there. Visiting him there was my first exposure to how great Los Angeles-proper was to live while recording music on his home setup.

I recently spent 10 days in Tulum, Mexico and was serenaded by these two over dinner at Be Tulum. As my wife and I walked out to the beach side restaurant, they were mid-way through Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You." HA! We sipped tequila and enjoyed the sounds of the ocean while The Two played an eclectic, soulful, jazzy interpretations of some classic tunes. As Tere's voice carried over the ocean breeze, Paco danced effortlessly over the fretboard of his George Benson signature model Ibanez. Definitely wanted to support them and bought the CD to share with you. Enjoi!

Once upon a time I made music with my friends G.L. Plumlee IV and Evan Hanyak

Growing up together in the small blue-collar beach towns of San Diego's North County, @TheGents were in the unique position to live in a world where trouble always had a sunset backdrop. They were influenced by all forms of rock, punk, reggae, world music, and blues. As such, their music spans an eclectic mix of styles and forms. @TheGents bring their hard-working, home-made, and hand-crafted debut "@TheGents" album with songs that vary from happy yet haunting acoustic vibes, experiments in dub, and psychedelic journeys into space. @TheGents consist of Evan Hanyak (Guitar/Bass/Vocals), Green Lyle (Drums/Vocals/Keys), and Xavier Ramirez (Bass/Guitar/Vocals) and consist of equal parts cheap Mexican Lager, Salt Water, and Crowded Freeways. @TheGents have found in themselves a sanctuary producing songs with minimal equipment and maximum effort, all the while representing their hometown ethics and ideals. @TheGents are here so here are @TheGents!

Channeling all of our experience and energies into music, technology, management and social media quickly evolved from a full time “hobby” into SocialSoundSystem. Working with established national/international touring musicians (“brands”), independent artist management companies & record labels over the past 5 years, we have been actively engaged and entrenched at the forefront of the new media frontier and online marketing for brands in the entertainment world. From social media, community management, business development, to tech networking… We love being geeks in the music industry. We don't have a music problem, we have a music solution.

Our mission is to enable brands to effectively connect with their fans and target demographics through new technology channels, social networks, and viral marketing. We want to change the way people think and engage in social discourse within popular culture.
