An arrangement of John Carpenter's main title composition taken from the score of "Assault on Precinct 13".  After considering the piece for a mix tape for some colleagues I decided to try some quick arrangement whilst flying between Dallas and Charlotte.  Wikipedia has a great write up on the score which was "partially inspired by both Lalo Schifrin's score to Dirty Harry and Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song". Besides these two themes the soundtrack also features a series of ominous drones and primal drum patterns which often represent the anonymous gang gathering in the shadows."  In addition to adding a few synthesizer tracks and allowing the turbulence during the flight to partake in the synth lead's pitch shifting there's a piano key strike that is redolent of sound track score from a film he directed a few years after this 1976 work.
