In 1999 the musicians Juliano Regis (guitars, vocals), Gerson Lange (bass, vocals) and Gilson Lange (drums), who were members of an extinct death/thrash metal band, formed SODAMNED with the intention of playing music which mixed speed, heaviness and melody, free of any restrictions.

The first years were marked by lots of concerts and the release of a reh demo tape with the track "Sky and Earth", the 2003 demo-CD "On The Gallows", and a participation with a new version of "Sky and Earth" in the compilation "Endless Massacre vol. I".

In 2006, Leandro Nagata joined the band and together they recorded four songs for the new EP. Soon after the recordings the guitarist Leandro and the bassist Gerson left the band.  One track of the EP, the music "Locked in the Garret", is released in the Brazilian traditional compilation "Rock Soldiers vol. 12".


In 2007 the bassist Felipe (Pain of Soul) joined Sodamned and they signed a deal with Face The Abyss Records, which released in Brazil the EP "The Garret" in a split-CD called "The Damned Celebration", also featuring the band Dark Celebration.

 After 2 years playing with only one guitar, in 2009 the guitarist Edilson Lucio joined the band, and Sodamned starts recording their debut album.

After get part for the second time on the Wacken Metal Battle on their state, the band releases their first full length album “The Loneliest Loneliness”. This album contains 10 songs, was produced by Roger Fingle (Seduced by Suicide), and got a cover art by Gustavo Sazes (Krisiun, Arch Enemy). As soon as the album was released, the band went to their first European tour, to spread the new album, playing 16 gigs on 6 countries, getting lots of contacts and good words about their music. Edilson left the band after the European tour and in January/2012 Guilherme Garbelotto (Antichrist Hooligans) came to complete the line-up.

Unfortunately some months after, Guilherme left the band too, but not before he helps the band to do some killer gigs in Brazil. The divulgation of the debut album finished in December 2012 with a short tour in Northeast region of Brazil. 

Now Sodamned is working hard composing the second full length, with the new guitarrist Fabrício Gamba (ex-Mr. Powerfull, ex-Razamanaz) scheduled for release in early 2014. And the band will release a promo CD during 2013, containing two new tracks (with a preview for the upcoming album), and a new version of the 2003 demo On the Gallows – remixed and remastered.
