So great to play music with Karl, Pete and Tom once again, as well as all the other wonderful musicians contributing. It is such a beautiful song that expresses the sentiments of it is like living in Melbourne at this point in time.

Sodastream are maestros of morose and now, with added Tom, Matt and Laura, this whole song-letter idea quickly became a little daunting. 

What a beautiful, sad song.   But as everyone knows, nothing makes sad sadder than a lowdown baritone guitar with plenty of tremolo.

A touch of the wobbles in amongst the monotony of stage-4.    Sending love to Karl and Pete and the extended Sodastream family.

Out of the murk of lockdown it's been a real positive to be involved in a musical collaboration with some of my favourite Melbourne friends and artists. It fell to me to do a bit of prising apart of the track to make more space and opportunities for the next contributors - a peculiar form of destructive creation. Fortunately a Karl Smith song is no fragile thing and I believe it survived my meddling with ease. I can't wait to hear where the song goes next. Greg J. Walker

It was Sunday evening when we recorded. Overcast but verdant, which echoed the mood of verse two which we sang and played along to in the lounge. The streets outside were so quiet during lockdown, we could hear the soft rain as it hit the grapevine, and the ring tail possums waking up in the wall cavity.

Lockdown was a strange, long and sometimes lonely journey. This project bought lots of old friends back in touch, and making music together again. Another thing to be thankful for as our city gets back on her feet after the quietest of winters.
