Composed, recorded and mixed in Bitwig Studio 4. MIDI going out to hardware units.

Gear used:

Roland TR-8S - drums
Korg Monologue - intro bassline
Roland SH-01A - bass (later on)
Yamaha DX11 - main chords
Roland JD-Xi - pads and complementary drums
MFB Nanozwerg - lead monosynth

Mixed through Mackie 1604 VLZ4, with sends to Roland SBF-325 stereo flanger and Alesis Quadraverb, and OTO Machines BOUM on the main insert. Eight channels into Bitwig.

While working on my full length, much more abstract and involved album I decided to release these two calm tracks as some sort of hold over - dare I say "by popular request"? At least it was requested a lot (well, that's relative) on Instagram. 

These grew out of quick sketches and improvisations, which I later reworked. I like the simplicity, both harmonically as well as production-wise. I left them untitled, as they were not written for a specific event, emotion or purpose. I'll leave it to you to fill these with your own images and thoughts. 
I sincerely hope you like these versions.

feels like i finally found my way back. this is a confluence of old and new, of fun, groovy and introspective. all of the music was created by me, most of it is unreleased.

I miss the old days of SoundCloud - the ones where they weren't trying to monetize anything and everything on their platform. As their company has morphed into its varying desperate forms in the last several years, I've decided to part ways from them. When I first signed up for an account in 2008, I loved the free interaction we had together...you as the listener and me as the artist - your feedback was brilliant and shaped me into the composer I am now...but in recent years I've seen SoundCloud try to change their model to compete with the bigger names like Spotify and Apple Music, and that means they want to charge you (and me) to listen. My music is a free gift from God, and I write what I do as a gift to you...to unlock something deep and to take you somewhere new in your journey. I am boycotting where SoundCloud is headed and I hope to see you on other platforms that don't change their DNA every few years...

I've loved the ride, and I love each of you - it's been the greatest joy.

This was planned of being an off-beat side-project, but never happened. 
Kind of rough and the most bad singer alive (but the only one always present in my music room ;) ). 

The track was traditionally dubbed on my old mixing console with lots of echo units back in 2003 I guess.
