Curating their second release on the newly established independent imprint TAU, the Adana Twins are keen to support the best up-and-coming talent from a saturated DJ/Producer market. The second release showcases yet another rising star; Paris-based, Romanian born - BOg.

BOg first broke onto the electronic music landscape after being signed to John Digweed’s ‘Bedrock Records’. 12-years down the line he’s released on Dixon’s Innervisions & Solomun’s Diynamic, BOg is a constant in the record bags of DJs across the globe. Drawing strong influences from bands and artists such as Depeche Mode, The Prodigy, Aphex Twin or The Chemical Brothers, BOg’s ‘Terra EP’ has an evident other-worldly feel.

Innellea returns to TAU002 this time on remix duties, remixing ‘Terra’ and further cementing his position as a core artist on TAU. The B-side remix of ‘Jahar’ comes from Mathias Schober, chosen for the Adana Twins love his sound design and aesthetic, the producer delivers a remix rounding off the solid ‘Terra’ EP.

Madloch's Sound Avenue imprint begins their 2019 journey by showcasing new interpretations of Matias Vila's 'Ahora'. Originally released in July of 2018 on the label's 'Summer Sampler', it found the Argentina born, Spanish based artist crafting an organic, highly creative production with a myriad of psychedelic concepts. Earning praise from Adana Twins, Audiofly and Kollektiv Turmstrasse, 'Ahora' now gets remade by Stelios Vassiloudis and Eran Aviner & Hermanez for the new year. 

The second and final interpretation of 'Ahora' finds Eran Aviner and Hermanez presenting their debut collaborative effort. As one of Belgium's most cutting edge artists, Eran Aviner is highly selective in choosing his production projects. His short but meticulous discography is highlighted by appearances on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music and Guy Mantzur's Plattenbank Records. Also the co-founder of 'Edge', a leading nightlife brand and record label in Belgium, Eran has shared the stage with Sasha, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Kiasmos and more. Also hailing from Belgium and making his Sound Avenue debut is Michael Coninx aka Hermanez. Perhaps best known for his timeless, tech-soul productions on Mobilee Records, Noir Music, Suara, Traum and his own Aella imprint, the Belgian artist has recently found a place in the deeper, dreamier spectrum of house with an EP on Guy J's Lost & Found Records and a soon to be released project on All Day I Dream. Now pairing up with fellow countryman Eran Aviner, the duo provide a stunning interpretation of 'Ahora' to close the release out. Building hypnotically; warm beats, organic drums and rugged bass tones unite for a highly rhythmic, free flowing framework. Smooth chord changes deliver a subtle yet powerful shift in emotive energy, as astral effects further saturate your senses as the main break commences. Coming to full fruition, the musical narrative evolves through timely modulation, creating a near two minute stretch of effervescent electronics and heartfelt melodic clusters, elegantly peaking and perfectly setting up a rousing finale. "The Argentinean artist also lays claim to an impressive discography, highlighted by releases on Sudbeat Music and The Soundgarden. Now making his much anticipated Movement Recordings debut, Sebastian presents his ‘Machines’ EP.

Beginning the title cut Sebastian explores the deeper side of his studio repertoire. Free and flowing from the outset it’s well carved low end provides momentous swing while quirky hooks and timely vocal gates fill in the framework. Stripping down into the main break, the vocal narrative expands, opening up a spiritual reservoir before effortlessly shifting energy into a buoyant finale act.

The second selection ‘The End’ follows a similar sonic ethos with a leaning into pure progressive territory. Beginning with a warm, rolling groove the piece moves with discernible momentum as layers of drums and rugged rhythms converge for a hearty rhythmic core. Charming vocal gates and elegant atmospheres flow beautifully into an emotive centrepiece, as mounds of bass build a subtle tension, while ghostly pads and hopeful overlays fully saturate your pleasure centres. An impassioned creation from Sebastian.

The release concludes with ‘Budapest’ which presents a myriad of emotions across its nine minute journey. Beginning with a dark, ominous vibe the creation evolves through mounds of bass, waves of percussion and cross cultural motifs, eventually transitioning into an emotive state of mind. Poignant keys and wispy atmospherics elevate the mood during a second act bridge, before melting down into an otherworldly centrepiece led by a spiritual vocal, perfectly setting up a cosmic finale. It rounds out a superb Movement Recordings debut for Sebastian, setting up what should be an incredible year for the talented Argentine. Highly recommended."

Being resident DJ at Hive Club in Zurich, Switzerland for several years, R.EK has established a reputation as an artist who is able to capture the mood of the audience, and to incorporate it into his live DJ set. Lost Paradise is a spaced out techno cut with astral synths dancing on rubbery drums. It is melodic, prog, and epic in all the right ways. Lunar Plane remixes it into something more prickly and bouncy, with slick synth stabs and plenty of cosmic vibes getting you on your feet. Dickicht then closes out the EP in dark fashion with rumbling bass and icy hi hats, spine word mutterings and a sense of drama that leaves a lasting impact.
