PSY-TRANCE, GOA-PSY, NEW-PSY&OLD-PROG-TRANCE!!

Goa is over 20 years old in the mean time. Time for a retrodelic look! For this I dug in my huge cd & vinyl collection and decided to make a mix for every year for the period 1994-2020 to show the "new" generation of goa people how goa-trance evolved, and never really died ;)

This 11th mix is about 2002, mixed with 2 CDJ1000s and Pioneer djm300 (no lap top mixing involved!). In this period goa-trance was fading away... Some artists were flirting with full on, others with club trance, and early forest also saw the daylight! So, in the end it was possible to make another smashing tracklist with tracks released after the topdays of goa-trance!

The next mix will be about 2003! :) So, have a look, a listen, download it and make sure to buy the music if you like it!

We Are Eternal Music begins with its first two-tracker, written and produced by label founder Piotr Walder, aka We Are Eternal. After releasing two full-length studio albums and various singles and EPs on international labels, Piotr— a multidimensional music artist and sonic architect known for weaving downtempo soul journeys and high-frequency trance activations into powerful ceremonial experiences—decided to launch a label dedicated to music that touches the boundaries of consciousness. WAE’s sound bridges genres, realms, and timelines, inviting listeners into transformative portals of embodiment, remembrance, and cosmic alignment.

Timeless is a midtempo, psychedelic groover with a foresty, swamp-like atmosphere and Native American flute samples that transport us thousands of years back to archaic times and lush rainforests. Beloved uncle Terrence’s profound citation in the drop opens a portal for transcending the personality self and touching our eternal nature, while emotional duduk lines take us even deeper into ecstatic trance.

Back To Nature begins a bit darker, with a heavy kick and twilight forest field recordings. Its trancy, progressive bass pulls us in right away. A heavy, straightforward snare and crisp hats cut through moody psychedelic synths, while, over time, warmer organic sounds of kalimbas and drums pave the way for epic arpeggios that draw us into ecstatic, primal dance in the forest. After the peak, the Native American flute leads us out of the darkness Back To Nature, transcending sacred chaos into pure groovy bliss.

These tracks are an ode to the rapidly growing independent festival scene worldwide and its inexpressible influence on the music scene and the lives of our generation.

A curadoria e direção artística desse time de peso é assinada por ninguém menos que o @ofelipepaes, que tornou a experiência do festival ainda mais completa. Bravo! 👏

Earthdance não é só um festival; é o reencontro puro com a essência do psytrance que pulsa no underground. Um espaço onde a arte, as luzes e a psicodelia nos fazem sentir conectados com a Terra e uns com os outros, renovando nossas intenções a cada amanhecer. Cada batida, uma raiz psicodélica que se mantém viva.
Gratidão infinita a cada um que vibrou junto e tornou essa experiência uma alquimia coletiva inesquecível. We Are Eternal Music’s second EP Interweaving Worlds is coming out on October 10th!
This 3-track EP is a deep dive into the connection between two seemingly different worlds: inner and outer, material and immaterial, the world of consciousness and the world of matter. The world of deep house and the world of trance. Just like any relationship between two or more people is a merging and interweaving of separate universes, separate perspectives—but is it really? Or is everything One?

The titular tune of the EP, 'Interweaving World', fuses the psychedelic with the organic deep house/tech realms.
A punchy kick and heavy bass drive the track forward, weaving with cosmic FM synth lines. As the journey unfolds, organic kalimba tones and soothing melodies emerge, while emotional female vocals recall human connection and relationships. A moody clarinet closes the circle, adding comfort and nostalgia.
This track invites dancers deep into their inner worlds—whether on forest festival floors or mid-tempo club stages.

We Are Eternal Music’s second EP Interweaving Worlds is coming out on October 10th!
This 3-track EP is a deep dive into the connection between two seemingly different worlds: inner and outer, material and immaterial, the world of consciousness and the world of matter. The world of deep house and the world of trance. Just like any relationship between two or more people is a merging and interweaving of separate universes, separate perspectives—but is it really? The opening track, Fire Walk With Me, is a Twin Peaks tribute song. Written and crafted after rewatching the entire series, it is a dance-floor audio interpretation of David Lynch's vision of the interweaving of two worlds: “Through the darkness of future past, the magician longs to see, one chance out between two worlds, FIRE WALK WITH ME.”
Musically speaking, this track is a mid-tempo, stompy progressive groover with swirling melodic arpeggios and emotional piano phrases. Spooky forest field recordings and owl hooting samples lead into a drop with an essential Twin Peaks citation. The second part of the tune brings in a massive, electrifying, psychedelic FM lead, which dances with the listener in an eerie flow—exactly like fire does. It is fire. After all, electricity and electronic music came out of the Fire element.

"The Source in Me" is a bright, melodic, and progressive mid-tempo roller with an atmospheric, nostalgic piano intro emerging out of a psychedelic soundscape. As the track unfolds, more organic elements and instruments—like folk violin, flute and charango—guide us into a colorful, groovy journey within ourselves.

"IAM" begins a bit darker and punchier. Psychedelic FM synths converse over a stompy progressive bassline. Tribal percussion and twisted rhythms fuse with ethereal melodies, crowned by a powerful acid lead. This track connects us more deeply to our cosmic origin—the eternal "IAM," a theme woven throughout much of We Are Eternal's musical work.
