This one’s absolutely MAD. Business As Usual finally link up with the don ILLAMAN and it bangs exactly how you’d hope. Illa’s voice slices clean through the BAU weight, proper damage for the dance.

ILLAMAN’s obviously a staple in the scene: Pengshui, Foreign Beggars, Chinese Man, hosting for Andy C & Fabio & Grooverider, etc. Fully gassed to have him blessing the Sofa camp with this collab.

Flip side’s all BAU, ‘Died Out’, cold, futuristic funk, dark edges, rolling hard. That kind of tune you hear once and know the reload’s incoming. These boys are only just warming up.

SS015: Business As Usual & ILLAMAN - Nunna Dat / Died Out

Trakker, a master of twisted, drum-laden chaos, claws his way into Sofa Sound’s legacy with a sound as unpredictable as a cat on a freshly upholstered divan.

This EP is a whirlwind of signature pressure only he can weave, stitched together with thunderous drums and feral flair.

Expect a litter of bangers: ‘Bamboozled' (alongside Brassik) slinks with aggressive synth stabs and drums that cut deep. ‘VKN' delivers raw, chopped breaks fused with face-melting distortion.
‘OM' weaves haunting vocals through shredding amens, poised to tear any dancefloor to bits.
The title track 'House Cats' brings splashy hats and an infectious wobble.

Capping it off, scene veteran Basic Rhythm collaborates with Trakker on 'Jelly Belly', blending Trakker’s sorcery with a tidy nod to the old-school sound of years past.
