John Digweed - Gridlock (Henry Saiz Remix)

I was Introduced to electronic music and the DJ culture in the late 90s in college. It seemed so odd that there were pockets of house, trance, jungle, and dnb in the southeastern US, but I also think that's why we didn't take the music for granted. I was fortunate enough to have been friends with local North Carolina DJs, Hotwax Harley and Mark Kane, who inspired me to learn how to mix. On an old beat up pair of 1200s held together by electrical tape, I discovered a whole new way to love the music. I continued into medical school, spinning mostly for myself, friends, and infrequent house parties. But as they say, "Life happens." Fast forward ten years later. With my non-musical career underway and two kids under my belt, I'm finally rediscovering my love for DJing with the help of some wonderful new internet DJ friends.
