"Ich habe mich hingesetzt und einfach mal losgelegt“, gesteht @alexhvlmnn auf die Frage, woher die Idee zu seinem neuen Track „This Is Us“ kam. „Während ich gebastelt habe und nichts Dolles hinbekommen habe, habe ich einfach mal diese Fläche gebildet, worauf sich der Track nun aufbaut.“ So kam es anschließend Stück für Stück. „Ich stehe allgemein auf Musik, die eher langsamer ist. Vielleicht muss sie auch nicht gerade für den Club geeignet sein.“ Die nötige Inspiration für die Nummer holte er sich unter anderem vom Track „The Definition of Happieness“, der von David August stammt. „Ein unfassbar schönes Stück."
