Originally, this track itself was composed in 2008, and inspired the idea of the whole story. It has taken a long time to complete, with many modifications to the tracks. Each track in the album has part of the story in the 'info' button.

RainChimes

A 32 part demo created with a single instance of the Yoshimi soft-synth and on a single pass. No other sound sources used.
When first composed this needed two instance due to the MIDI limitation of 16 channels, but these days Yoshimi can silently switch parts without interrupting playing :)

In the early 1970s a couple of friends and I used to play this. It was always popular. In those days we had very little by way of recording kit, and unfortunately the few tapes we made disappeared over the years. Sadly, my friends are long gone too, so this is a bit of a tribute to them.
