While on vacation in the high desert with family in Santa Fe New Mexico, Softeyes found himself deeply inspired by his surroundings, especially the 'lil Crowley turntable that he had gifted his sister this past Xmas. Forestfire Sunsets is 98% comprised of samples sourced from a random stack of records that his sister brought to the vacation house, plus a few that he copped at various thrift stores and novelty shops in and around Santa Fe + a 'lil synth bass and a touch of 808 to glue it together. Softeyes crafted a tripped out, laid back mosaic of apocalyptic emotional desert catharsis.
