Happy Easter and/or April Fool's day, depending on how this one goes over. I love Amanda Palmer and had her new album to keep me company all through my tour this summer. During that long three and a half months, I grew to love love love this song, but always felt that the lyrics would be awesome if they were almost a plea, sort of like The Killers' "Jenny Was a Friend of Mine" (oh come on, oh come on, oh come on). Give me a little bit of credit, the mix is terrible because my computer and mics are still in Oregon. Because I like to make my career super hard.

I genuinely hope nobody hates this because it sincerely is my favorite song. But you know, whatever. Haters gonna hate.

The Killing Type (Amanda Palmer cover)

Someone on twitter asked me to record this cover. If nothing else, it was a good way for me to test out whether or not I'd be able to record my next album on my ipad. (The answer, by the way, is "not without upgrading my hardware considerably.” As great of a tool it is, it's limited in it's processing power -the recording program would stall out a couple of times- and since the iRig interface requires you to use the headphone jack simultaneously as an input and an output, there is a significant amount of bleed (which is why you can hear the metronome a bit in the beginning). Because if this, the iRig is next to useless. Oh well, I'm done ranting, I hope you like the cover.
