For the first release of 2016, SVBKVLT are proud to present PM2.5, the third solo-release of Shanghai-based producer Swimful. Named after the toxic particles in polluted air, PM2.5 sees Swimful tackling more dancefloor-oriented rhythms with his signature sound palette of dreamy, weightless ambience.

Swimful is the alias of English-born, Shanghai-based producer Jamie Charlton. Having spent much of his youth performing improvised music, self-releasing CDRs independently and collaborating with artists such as Machinefabriek on the Echolalia project in 2010, he went on to study Sound Arts in London, where he was tutored by composers such as David Toop.

During this time, the Swimful project was born and collaborations with Lil B and Main Attrakionz followed. His recent forays into grime and club music have garnered support from a range of DJs and producers such as Slackk, Murlo, Scratcha DVA and J-Cush, and received airtime on stations such as Rinse FM, NTS and Radar Radio.

I finally hit 500,000 total plays on Soundcloud! 

Entirely grateful for each and every single play of any of my tracks. Regardless of how you found my music, be it through the Road Rap days as Versechild, Grime days as Kid Steely & Versatile, through the phonk as VRSYJNES, or through collabs with artists like Bones, Raider Klan, K-Koke and Ramirez/RVMIRXZ, I thank you. 

I could of put out any beat and just say “WOAH 500K THANKS FAM” but i decided to make this crazy beat that I had a lot of fun making, hence the length of the track. if you make it to the end of the track your a legend! (Cue the “lol sounds like sango” comments… i’m ready)
