Last Thursday at The Echoplex was very historical for the L.A. music culture. We brought two worlds together (Pioneers & next generation) audiences/vibes in one room. The Beat Junkies are a legendary DJ crew that have inspired Soulection. The Cypress Junkies (consisting of Rhettmatic & Bobo [member of Cypress Hill]) really threw down one of the best performances in our TSOT history. To hear them play percussion, scratch over beats by Sango, Tek. Lun, Araabmuzik, and more was truly inspiring. The audio can only give you an idea but you had to be there to really soak it all in. Enjoy this one.

Mikkoh is a Korean-American DJ and multidisciplinary artist based in Atlanta, Georgia. After graduating from an esteemed science and engineering university, she decided to take the road less traveled and pursue a career in music, design, and film.

Her music has taken her far and wide, performing in cities all across Europe, Asia, and North America and has landed her features on popular outlets like Nike, HighSnobiety, Boiler Room, People’s Stylewatch Magazine, and more. Mikkoh advocates fr women of color, immigrants, and Asian Americans in creative fields using her platform to curate online content and brand experiences that support and elevate her community. Nevertheless, her infatuation with orchestrating the crowd’s emotions and body movements keeps bringing her back to stages all around the world.

Seán is known as the founder of this wonderful, open minded music platform/community - Stay Cool, which just like us, want to connect people globally through music. Over the time, it all evolved into radio show, record label, events series and home for many artists, featuring  such exciting names as DJ Jazzy Jeff, Joyce Wrice, Illa J, Mac Ayres, Evil Needle, Tek.Lun and more.

Seán is respectable figure in UK and Worldwide Future Beats music community and has been praised by such music selectors/mentors as Complexion, Joe Kay for showcasing undiscovered talents, working hard behind the scenes, hosting events and supporting other producers/DJ's and their releases.
It's been a pleasure to watch his growth and this determination, passion and love he's been adding to his projects and ideas.
