ਰਾਮ ਜਪਉ ਜੀਅ ਐਸੇ ਐਸੇ ॥ ਧ੍ਰੂ ਪ੍ਰਹਿਲਾਦ ਜਪਿਓ ਹਰਿ ਜੈਸੇ ॥੧॥

ਹੇ ਜਿੰਦੇ! (ਇਉਂ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰ, ਕਿ) ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਿਮਰਾਂ ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਨਾਲ ਧ੍ਰੂ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਹਿਲਾਦ ਭਗਤ ਨੇ, ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਸੀ ।੧।
Just as Dhroo and Prahlaad meditated on the Lord, so should you meditate on the Lord, O my soul. ||1||

ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਭਰੋਸੇ ਤੇਰੇ ॥

ਹੇ ਦੀਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਤੇ
O Lord, Merciful to the meek, I have placed my faith in You;

ਸਭੁ ਪਰਵਾਰੁ ਚੜਾਇਆ ਬੇੜੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਪਰਵਾਰ ਤੇਰੇ (ਨਾਮ ਦੇ) ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ (ਮੈਂ ਜੀਭ, ਅੱਖ, ਕੰਨ ਆਦਿਕ ਸਭ ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ) ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
along with all my family, I have come aboard Your boat. ||1||Pause||

ਜਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਮਨਾਵੈ ॥

ਜਦੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ (ਇਸ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਵਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣਾ) ਹੁਕਮ ਮਨਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਇਹਨਾਂ ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਉਹੀ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਕੰਮ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਇੰਦ੍ਰੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਹਨ),
When it is pleasing to Him, then He inspires us to obey the Hukam of His Command.

ਇਸ ਬੇੜੇ ਕਉ ਪਾਰਿ ਲਘਾਵੈ ॥੨॥

ਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਸ ਸਾਰੇ ਪੂਰ ਨੂੰ (ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸਭ ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ) ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਹਿਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।੨।
He causes this boat to cross over. ||2||

ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਐਸੀ ਬੁਧਿ ਸਮਾਨੀ ॥

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ (ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਅਜਿਹੀ ਅਕਲ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਾਰੇ ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ), 
By Guru's Grace, such understanding is infused into me;

ਚੂਕਿ ਗਈ ਫਿਰਿ ਆਵਨ ਜਾਨੀ ॥੩॥

ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਜੰਮਣਾ ਮਰਨਾ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।੩।
my comings and goings in reincarnation have ended. ||3||

ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਭਜੁ ਸਾਰਿਗਪਾਨੀ ॥

ਹੇ ਕਬੀਰ! ਆਖ (ਭਾਵ, ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਾ)—ਸਾਰਿੰਗਪਾਨੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰ, 
Says Kabeer, meditate, vibrate upon the Lord, the Sustainer of the earth.

ਉਰਵਾਰਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਸਭ ਏਕੋ ਦਾਨੀ ॥੪॥੨॥੧੦॥੬੧॥

ਲੋਕ-ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਉਸ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਜਾਣ ।੪।੨।੧੦।੬੧।
In this world, in the world beyond and everywhere, He alone is the Giver. ||4||2||10||61||
