Michael Mayer became obsessed with Erik Luebs, an American producer based in Osaka, after stumbling upon his independently released music on Bandcamp. Luebs’ talent for creating high-energy, minimalist acid techno with impeccable, futuristic sound design swiftly earned him a regular place in Mayer’s sets. It was only a matter of time before Luebs made his debut on Kompakt’s Speicher series with this highly versatile EP. ‘Riding the Blade’ opens the four-track EP, showcasing Luebs’ signature punchy psychedelia. ‘Scarlet Viscera’ features a sleek, minimal groove that is reminiscent of the genre’s heyday in the 2000s. ‘Transform Into Glass’ emanates blissful Detroit vibes, and the EP closes with a real bang: ‘Sucked Through Tube’ creates a frenzy on the dance floor without the need for a single kick drum. Iptamenos Discos announces Houdini, the new EP by label founders Local Suicide. The record features three of their darkest and most powerful originals to date, alongside striking reworks from French electroclash pioneer David Carretta and rising Greek EBM force Alpha Sect. 
The Houdini EP took shape in Local Suicide’s Berlin studio during countless late-night sessions with Skelesys, the same creative period that gave rise to their joint hit Moustache, the Surface Of The Sun EP and Faster Faster on Curses’ Next Wave Acid Punx compilation. The result is their darkest material yet, pushing their technodisco sound into heavier territory with hypnotic basslines, industrial textures and analog vintage synths, making it one of the boldest records in the Iptamenos Discos catalogue to date. 
Submission, a collaboration with long-term collaborator Skelesys, matches its intensity with a brooding low end and distorted, heavily processed vocals. The chant “Resistance, no submission” runs through the track like a declaration of defiance, turning tension into power. 
Strasbourg-based Alpha Sect, the project of Greek artist George McCall, takes Submission into uncompromising dimensions. Rooted in electro and body music with punk influences, his remix starts as a heavy EBM stomper before evolving into a club-ready track that balances intensity with release.

Local Suicide’s Houdini EP will be released on Iptamenos Discos as a limited 12” vinyl and digitally on the November 21st, 2025 with three original tracks and two remixes.

Katu-Yaryk is one of the most breathtaking mountain passes in Siberia: 3.9 kilometers of winding serpentine, nine sharp turns, and every meter — a test of spirit. On one side — sheer cliffs; on the other — the bottomless Chulyshman Valley, where echoes travel between mountains, repeating the rhythm of your own heartbeat. Katu-Yaryk is more than a road — it’s a passage, a threshold between earth and sky. A unique feat of engineering carved directly into a steep slope, surrounded by wild, untouched nature. Until the mountain road was built, the only way here was by horse trail or across Lake Teletskoye. This is a place where land, sky, and human will move as one.
Here, silence roars louder than the wind — and fear transforms into awe.

High above the valleys, among the rocks and clouds, stands the Aktash Repeater — a tower reaching toward the sky. At more than three thousand meters above sea level, silence reigns here, broken only by the wind and the faint electrical hum of a signal. Once, this place carried messages; now, it transmits the sound of the world itself. At night, the tower glows like a techno totem, sending the pulse of Altai into infinity. The air vibrates, filled with frequencies, and every gust of wind feels like a radio transmission from the other side of time.
The Aktash Repeater is a symbol of connection — between earth and sky, past and future, the analog and the digital. Here, dub techno becomes a code that nature itself deciphers.

Vol. 10 of Mountain Altai VA is dedicated to this place — the point where electricity and spirit merge into a single vibration. Nine tracks transmit signals of eternity — carried by the wind from an altitude of 3039 meters.
