Joshua Sohn is a Korean-American composer, percussionist and teacher.  He received his music degree at the University of Utah.  After four years of conducting youth ensembles as a school band director, his passion for writing music ultimately converted him over to pursue it as a career. 
        Since September of 2014, Josh has premiered original music for the Air Force Reserve, 48 Hour Film Festival, Slamdance Film Festival, Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, Audience Awards Film Festival and the Salt Lake Symphony. Other musical experiences include composing music for, “Come As You Are,” an anti-bullying musical play for grades 6-12 as well as writing jingles for businesses, and performing as a percussionist across the globe.
       When he is away from his composing desk, Josh enjoys walking his dog, watching movies from all genres, and playing with the junk drumming sensation, Salt Lake Alternative Percussion (SLAP).
